Chapter Two - Diagon Alley

I feel like I am being sucked into a tube, or as if I am inside of a tornado. With the blink of an eye, my feet were flat on the ground again, a huge green flame lit around me and then dimmed away. Diagon Alley, the only place in all of London where you can buy anything you could ever need as a witch or wizard. I see Draco leaning against a wall near the fireplace I just stepped out of.

"Needed to get a head start? I understand, you are quite slow." I say walking over to him giggling.

"Ha-Ha very funny," he says with a slight laugh.

I go stand next to him while we wait for mother and father to come out of the fireplace. Mother steps out first, fixing her hair, then father appears behind her, stepping in her place as she moves to the side.

"Draco," father says, " why don't you take Lillian and show her where you two will get all of her supplies." He hands me a small black velvet string bag, full of what feels like coins.

"Sure, father." Draco responds, "ready Lillian?"

I glare at him, he knows I hate being called that, but I would never argue with father about it, he would probably send me to Azkaban if he could.

"Of course," I say, a bit surprised. He never calls me Lillian, it's always Lilly or some other random name.

As we start to walk away I ask, "Since when do you call me by my full name?"

He looked a bit confused, "What? Oh, sorry, I guess, uh, I- I didn't want father to get upset.."

"Don't apologize, it's alright," I say slightly elbowing his arm with a bit of a laugh, even though I am secretly thinking of why father would be upset. Wait, my name. He is always saying how my name is Lillian, so it should be used that way, not silly nicknames. Though no one really listens, Draco and mother both call me Lilly most of the time. That's why he thought father would be upset, because of a nickname, I find it quite upsetting that it is true though.

We pass by Ollivander's wand shop, though, I don't need a wand, I got one before my first year, made of walnut wood with a basilisk horn core, 11 1/2 inches, reasonably supple flexibility, my perfect fit. We walk into the bookshop and pick up all of our books, on our way out though, Draco runs into someone familiar.

"Pottah," he says in an annoyed tone while reaching the bottom of the staircase, leaving me at the top.

"What do you want, Malfoy," I hear someone say, I look down and see a messy brown-haired boy standing in front of Draco. It can't be, can it? Harry Potter. My twin brother's arch-nemesis. This can't be good.

I walk down the stairs, walking around Draco and standing next to him, "Hello," I say.

"Hi," Harry says, looking a bit astonished, but confused at the same time, "Who might you be?"

I hold out my hand, "Lillian, Lillian Malfoy," I say shaking his hand.

"Malfoy?" He says, seeming shocked and even more confused, "You're a Malfoy?"

Draco intervenes, "That's what she just said isn't it, Pottah?" I elbow him in the gut, somewhat harder this time, but not much.

"Calm down Draco, be nice, yes, I am Draco's sister, and you must be Harry," I look at two people standing next to him, one with bright red hair, the other with curly brown hair, "and you two must be Ron and Hermione," I stick out my hand to shake Ron's he shakes it with sweaty hands quickly, I turn to Hermione, she hesitates for a moment, then shakes it with a slight smile. "Nice to meet you all," I say smiling.

"Is this your first year at Hogwarts?" Hermione asks, "I never realized Draco had a sister."

"Technically it's my third year, but yes, my first at Hogwarts, our mother has homeschooled me since first year," I respond. I didn't realize no one knew I existed.

"Third year? But that's our year, how is that possible?" She says confused.

"She's my twin sister," Draco says, annoyed, probably because I am making friends with the people he hates the most.

"Really? I've always wanted a twin, Fred and George are so lucky," Ron says, speaking for the first time while looking at me.

"Come on Lilly, we have to get going," Draco says, ignoring him and walking out of the bookshop.

"Goodbye!" I say as I follow after him, looking back, "I hope to see you soon!"

"Well, I guess you are already making friends, guess I just didn't realize it would be with... them," he says, sounding a bit disgusted.

"They seem nice, why do you talk so horribly of them?" I say. He always acts as if they are horrid people who hate him, father doesn't like them either, especially Hermionie, because she's a muggle-born, but I have never understood why that mattered. Is she not just as much a witch as much as the rest of us?

"I- just drop it, Lilly," he says, walking ahead of me towards Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions.

"Alright, Alright, sorry," I respond, realizing he's starting to get upset, "where are we going?"

"To get your robes, come along now," he says, looking back, yet still walking forwards.

We walk into Madam Malkins, "Ah, hello Mr. Malfoy, back again? Did you ruin your robes again?" she says, with a fake smile.

"No," Draco responds, "we are here for my sister Lillian's robes, she's going to Hogwarts with me this year,"

"Another Malfoy? Oh, well, come over here and stand on this stool and we will get you fitted.

"Alright then, thank you," I saw smiling as I walk over and step up onto the stool.

Madam Malkin fit's me into my robes and then she checks us out, we pay her and walk out of the shop.

"Where to next Dray," I ask Draco while we start walking down the Alley.

"To meet mother and father, we have everything," he responds, "let's go, we mustn't be late, father will kill us."

We walk down the Alley towards the fireplaces, we see mother and father standing next to one another, mother looking around worryingly. We arrive at the fireplaces and mother looks at us, looking very relieved.

"Oh, there you two are, we were worried, now come on then, it's almost supper time, we've been here for hours," she says.

I step into the fireplace with all of my school items, grab a handful of floo powder and yell, "Malfoy Manor!"

Now stepping out of the fireplace at Malfoy Manor, I turn around to see Draco come out of the emerald flame.

"Need help sorting your stuff Lils? I don't have important anything to do," he says.

"No thank you, I think I've got it, I want to be ready early, so I think I'll go pack everything up, we do leave in a week, so there isn't much time otherwise for me, I want to practice and study before we leave," I respond.

"Well alright, just let me know if you need anything," he says, walking into his schoolroom, "see you later."

"I will, I will, see you," I say, walking into my schoolroom to get all of my school items in my new brown leather trunk, it has golden buttons and latches, and my initials, also in gold, L.N.M. I open the trunk and start to pack up all of my things, including my wand, course books, cauldron, crystal phials set, brass scale set, work robes, dress robes, winter robes, dragonhide gloves, black pointed hat, jumpers, trousers, shoes, and all my other personal belongings.

I head down Draco and I's corridor to go downstairs for supper. Draco walks out of his room and walks with me downstairs. We eat supper and head back upstairs to get ready for bed. I change into my pajamas, black leggings, and a black hoodie, and go to my schoolroom to grab my wand out of my trunk, and an old coursebook from my bookshelf. I walk to my bedroom next door, get into bed, and start to practice some old spells. An hour or so passes and I fall asleep, I dream of where I will be a week from now, Hogwarts, the place I have wished to go my whole life, and finally, I can. Oh, let me tell you, it is quite more amazing than I would have ever expected.
