You're Gonna Go Far, Kid {Jalex}

Chapter 19

Jack's P.O.V.

I woke up with the happiest feeling in the world. I looked next to me and saw Alex. He was sleeping. Damn did he look hot.

I pulled the covers off of me and towered over Alex. I kissed him.

He didn't kiss back at first because he was sleeping, but that was quickly replaced with a smile.

He kissed back and lifted his head. I tangled my fingers in his hair. Before it got too heated, I stopped.

Alex pouted. I kissed his lip that he had stuck out.

He smiled and so did I.

"I've got to go out today. So I thought I'd tell you face to face. I promise I won't be too long." I told Alex while getting off of him.

"I know I'm probably going to sound nosy, but yesterday when you came back from the hotel, I noticed you didn't have that much stuff. What took you all day yesterday to pack?"Alex asked.

Dammit. He can't know what I was doing. What if he knows?

"I, uh, I was, packing. Like I said. It just took me awhile to get the hotel room looking decent." I twiddled my thumbs.

"Jack that is such a bad lie. What were you actually doing?"

"I, can't tell you." I shyly said.

"Why can't you tell me?"

"Could you let it go?"

"And why are you going out again today? Are you cheating on me our something?" I could tell Alex didn't want to believe I was cheating. I wasn't cheating. But he actually  thought that I was.

"Cheat on you? Alex I love you. How could you even think for a second that I was cheating on you."

"Because...I don't know. I'm just worried about you, that's all. I guess you still need your privacy. Sorry." Alex gave in.

What I was doing was far from cheating. And I really hated this fight because it hurt to know he would ever think that.

"I'll be home soon." I broke the silence and left the room.

I grabbed my car keys downstairs and went to my car.

I tried pushing away the bad mood and started remembering why I was doing this. Because I love Alex.

I drove to the jeweler store. I went inside and saw the same guy from yesterday.

"Hey, did my order come in?" I asked the guy at the desk.

"Yup. Let me go get it." He went off.

I waited for a minute or two. The guy came back with a ribbon tied box.

I took the box and thanked him.

I put the box in my jacket pocket. I headed back home.

I opened the door and sawAlex with Desi in the living room again.

I shut the door.

"Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack!" Alex exclaimed.

"What what what?" I mocked him.

"Watch this." Alex stood up and helped Desi up.

He whispered something to her and she giggled.

She gurgled "dadda" and started walking towards me.

I smiled and watched her slowly walk toward me. She finally got to me and latched onto my leg.

I picked her up and kissed her cheek.

"She's getting so much better!" I exclaimed.

Alex came by us and kissed me on the cheek.

"I'm really sorry about this morning. It was stupid of me to think that. I still love you more than ever."

"It's ok. I was actually wondering, do you want to go out on a fancy date with me this weekend? We haven't been out in a long time."

"I'd love to." He kissed me.

I put Desi down and moved closer to Alex, still kissing him. He put his arms around my waist and pulled me closer. I wrapped my arms around his neck.

I started laughing which broke the kiss.

"What's so funny?" Alex asked.

"Nothing, I just, love this. I love you." I smiled and looked him in the eyes.

He looked me in the eyes.

"I love you too." He muttered.

He broke the eye contact. He looked at Desi who was walking around the room.

"I can't wait till she's a toddler. She's going to be the cutest little thing." Alex mumbled to himself.

I laughed because he was adorable rambling on to himself. I kissed his cheek. He blushed. He always blushes when I kiss his cheek.

I let go of him and went to the kitchen.

"I think I'm going to make lunch today. How does Mac and cheese sound?" I hollered from the kitchen.

"Desi squealed so that would be a yes." Alex called back.

I took out the Mac and cheese and started to cook.

"Food's ready!" I called.

Alex and Desi appeared in the kitchen right away.

I took Desi and put her in her high chair. I put her bib on her.

Alex took some Mac and cheese and put it in a small bowl with a tiny spoon.

He sat by Desi and fed her. I sat and ate. Alex ate after Desi was finished eating.

"What now?" I asked while putting dishes away.

"I don't know. I'm going to put Desi to bed. Maybe we can watcha movie again or something?"

My face lit up because I knew I was going to pick home alone again.

"And not home alone." Alex added.

I frowned.

"No frowny faces. There are a ton of movies that you can watch."

I gave in and Alex picked a movie. It was a nightmare before Christmas. I actually really liked this movie.

I fell asleep cuddling into Alex.
