Chapter 9: ODM Gear training

(Normal POV)

It was morning, and Falco was outside watching the sunrise after waking up early. He was soon joined by Sasha who was also awake. She offered the boy a cup filled with black stuff.

"You ever have coffee before?" Sasha asked.

Falco shook his head. "No, but I've seen Colt and my parents drink it before."

"So why didn't you say your real names to my dad yesterday?"

"Because we didn't want our real identities to cause trouble to you all."

Falco grabbed the cup from Sasha but didn't drink the coffee.

"So how are your comrades doing?"

"They're arguing about the fact that Eren led a unnecessary attack on Liberio, and many are arguing Eren's inprisonment and your freedom."

"Does the public know about our release?"

"Yes. But they don't know that you're children. So I doubt your skills will keep you safe forever."

"What do you mean?"

"Later, I would like you and Gabi to come with me. I got special premission from Commander in Chief Zachary give you special training."

"What special training?" he said as he started drinking the coffee.

"You guy are gonna learn how to use Odm gear!"

Falco then spitted his coffee making Sasha giggle.

(Forest)

Falco and Gabi were wearing different clothes that had rigorus equipment as they were following Sasha and found a clearing that had two odm training devices.

"Whose idea was this?" Gabi asked.

"It was mine." Sasha answered "I wanna help you survive if you were attacked."

"Alright. Let's just get this over with."

Soon, the kids were attatched to the devices, and Sasha winched them both up. Falco and Gabi started to lose their balance and were hanging in the air.

"Miss Braus, was this hard for you and your friends?"

"It was at first, but we were able to get our way around them. So practice makes perfect. It just takes time."

Soon they tried again, but they lasted a little longer the second time. They kept trying again, and again, and again, while their attemps were getting longer. Soon, Falco was able to hold his balance for a long time, but Gabi was still having trouble and this time, she flipped upside down. This made Sasha start laughing.

"What's so damn funny?!" Gabi said

Sasha was holding her stomach as she laughed. "I'm sorry! That moment reminded me of my cadet days seven years ago!" She stops laughing and gets back up. "Do you guys wanna stop for now and have some lunch?" They both nodded and said "Yes!"

Soon, all three of them were having lunch.

"So, do we remind you of any of your friends?" Falco asked

"Mhm. You remind me of Eren and Mikasa." Sasha exclaimed.

"How can we be remind you of the two most dangerous Devils of the island?!" Gabi shouted.

"Simple, you remind me of them before we saw the sea." She pointed at Gabi. "You Gabi remind me of Eren. He used to be very angry and stubborn. He was nicknamed "the Suicidal Maniac". And he would always get vengeful when any other soldiers die." She then pointed at Falco. "You Falco remind me of Mikasa. She's always moving fast, not afriad to think, and she's always protective of Eren. And you watch out for Gabi."
