After getting the twins cleaned up and dressed, Jisoo was debating over what to do with them. She couldn't keep them hostage in this house for the next three days, they'd all go insane. And with the brief two and a half hours Jisoo would have to herself tomorrow, she considered having Mino come over to help and give her some relief.
"Mama, where are we going?" Hyunjin asked, watching his mother grab his dark blue and Yeji's light pink sweatshirt jackets out of the hall closet.
"Oh I don't know, maybe we'll head my the lab and let you see Mino, or we could go to the park." Jisoo said, handing Hyunjin his jacket. The twins thought about what they would rather do and see. It was a tough decision for them, choosing between their two favorite things - Mino and the park.
"Can we go to see Mino and then go to the park?"
Jisoo handed Yeji her jacket. "I'm afraid we can only do one thing today, but tomorrow is a new day so whatever we can't do today we can do tomorrow." Hyunjin looked passed his sister and out the window, making Yeji do the same. He noticed how nice and sunny it was out, and made the decision.
"I want to go to the park, but tomorrow we can see Uncle Mino, right?" Hyunjin said.
"Hey, wait a second. Aren't we going to ask Yeji what she wants to do?" Hyunjin turned around, and looked at his sister with pleading eyes. He hoped that she wanted to do the same as she did. He remembered when he wanted macaroni and cheese for dinner, and she wanted a cheeseburger - they ended up with soup.
"Baby, do you want to go to the park today?" Jisoo said, helping Hyunjin zipper his jacket.
"OK, but I want to see Uncle tomorrow, too." She said, fumbling with her own jacket zipper. Jisoo went over to help her, but she zippered it up before Jisoo could lend a hand. "I got it." She said, triumphantly.
"OK, so today we'll go to the park and then tomorrow, after preschool, we'll go and see how Mino's doing." Josoo said, turning off the television and grabbing her own jacket and keys. "Alright, are we ready to go?"
"Yeah!" Hyunjin said, followed by Yeji. Josoo walked out and the twins ran to the Tahoe parked in their driveway. Josoo opened the door for them, and they hopped in the backseat. Once she knew they were buckled in, she buckled herself and pulled out of the driveway and headed towards the park. As soon as Jisoo parked in front of the bright yellow swing set, she heard two seatbelts unclick and felt feet shuffling behind her. When she turned around, she saw Hyunjin opening the door and hoping out, followed by Yeji.
Before Jisoo even got out of the car, Hyunjin and Yeji had ran towards their favorite toy in the whole park - the tire swing. She remembered last time she pushed them on the tire swing, she went home with a sore back. They spent the next two hours running around the park and playing on the few toys spread out across the grassy area. They had all taken a seat underneath a shady tree, and were relaxing and enjoying the breeze that wasn't customary in Las Vegas.
"Mama?" Yeji said, looking up at her mother. She had positioned herself comfortably underneath Jisoo's arm and was resting her head on her chest.
"Hmm?" Jisoo said, looking down at her. She removed her arm from her side to let her sit up.
"I need to go to the bathroom." Yeji said, standing up. Usually Jennie would take her to the women's room, but now Jennie wasn't there and there was no Jennie there to take Yeji. Jisoo had remembered Jennie explaining to her about not letting their young children go into public restrooms by themselves. She recalled her saying "Chu, you've seen the news. Public restrooms are where perverted child molesters seek out their victims. Our children will not be victims of those perverts!" Jisoo didn't know what to do, and the drive home was about 20 minutes. She knew she wouldn't last.
