(33) Good Times

Quick note. My friend's rabbit just had baby bunnies and I get to go see them tomorrow and I'm so EXCITED!!!!

I get to name 2 and they are going to be Nash (boy) & Chevy (girl)

On to the story...

ALLI POV

After they leave I run out of the house, ignoring my mom calling my name. I don't know where I'm going. I look up and find myself by the river where Alix and I used to play when we were younger.

*Flashback 5 years ago*

"Hurry up" I yell

"I'm coming," Alix says rung over to me.

I glance away and when I look back Alix is standing in the shallow part of the stream.

"Hey Alli"

"Yeah"

"Duck!" She says as she splashes me with the ice-cold water.

"Hey!" I say running barefoot into the stream

I push her down jokingly.

"You will pay for that," She says. Oh no, she's mad. I offer her my hand to help her up. Instead, she tugs me down.

"Hey" by this point were both laughing.

I look back at the river. This is where we spent every moment of our free time. 

"Hi, Alli" I look up and see Alix standing there. 

"What are you doing here?" I ask

"I could ask you the same thing"

"I asked first," I say

"FIne, I come here every day to walk Bear," She says "Your turn"

"Well you might want to sit down," I say

"Ok," she says taking a seat next to me.

"Well... it all started out at recess" I begin

ALIX POV

I listen carefully as Alli tells her story. I'm kinda shocked she shared this with me cause even though we're best friends. She still doesn't like to talk about her social life. Compared to me where everyone knows about my life. 

"...and so yeah," She says

"Hey," I say putting an arm around her. "Have you heard from Zach or your dad since then?"

"Concerned about your boyfriend are you? She asks

"Maybe," I say "But have you heard anything?"

"No, and it's been an hour, I'm kinda worried"

"Try calling them"

"Ok"

Alli calls her dad and then her brother. Neither of them pick up.

"Uhh that's not usual," She says

Morgan POV

I was playing the piano and working on a new song when my phone starts to ring. I pick it up and it's Alix.

"Hey dad I need you," She says

"Why? What happened? Where are you?" I say starting to worry

"At the river," She tells me and then hangs up

"Bye Kane," I say running out the door

"Where are you-"

"I'll be right back," I say and run to my truck.

I hop in the seat and drive to the river.
