Chapter 2: I have to protect them

I watched as that creature killed my wife, with almost a look of excitement in its eyes. I could feel pure rage welling up inside of me. Tears streamed down my face, but I knew that I couldn't mourn now. I had to do everything I could to end this battle, even if it meant me using that form. I closed my eyes as I focused on zangetsu. Soon a white horn appeared on my head and black markings appeared on the left side of my face, with a small hole in my chest. Zangetsu also changed from the two black swords, to one giant white sword with a chain. This was my Bankai.

As soon as my transformation was complete, one of the humanoid creatures attacked me. It was moving 50 times slower than before, and it's moves which were unpredictable before, were now easy to read. Before it could reach me I swung my sword towards it, and just the pressure sliced it to pieces. The others were extremely surprised at my power boost and how easily I killed the creature. " I... I didn't see him move." One of the winged enemies stated. " Don't mind that, now attack!" A blue haired man said. Then all of them attacked me, hoping to overpower me with numbers. I then sighed with a serious look, and shot a nameless Getsuga at them all. It easily disintegrated the humanoid creatures to the point where they couldn't regenerate and killed most of the winged fighters. " Ugh... This was not supposed to happen." The blue haired man said while scratching his neck." Not good, not good. Sensei will be upset." He said scratching his neck harder and faster. I watched the seen weirdly, but soon felt a scratch on my cheek. I looked around and saw the creature that killed Rukia standing behind me. ' How did it get here so fast. I couldn't even keep up with its speed. No, that doesn't matter. This thing killed my wife and is my biggest problem right now. I need to end it.' I thought as I stared at the beast. It raised a finger and charged a Bala, aiming it right at me. The blast was shot at me, but I easily deflected it with the flat side of my sword. I knew it was superior in speed, but with my Bankai, I was 10 times stronger than it. The creature charged at me but I slashed off its arm before it could reach me. The arm then immediately grew back using what I assumed to be High Speed Regeneration.' I knew that it was a hollow, but I never expected its healing abilities to be so great.' It seems like the only way I can beat it, is by destroying its vital organs.' I thought examining my enemy. I striked it repeatedly, each time slicing it a little, as its speed proved to be a problem. Eventually it began dodging my attacks fully, even though I was using my full speed, but the part that scared me was when my arm was cut. Using only its hand, it cut my hand so deeply that it became disconnected from the nerves. I then retreated to allow my Regeneration to kick in but the beast chased me. Both its speed and power were increasing throughout the battle. The strength of its attacks matched mine while its speed was far superior, so I was at a disadvantage. After my hand finally healed, I prepared for my last attack, which was going to completely obliterate the creature. I cut my hand as my blood hovered in front of my horn, forming a small red orb. It resembled a Cero but the power easily separated the two attacks. While focusing and condensing the orb, I also focused my power into zangetsu. It was a Getsuga Tensho but the energy was mostly Shinigami. " Gran Rey Getsuga!!!" I shouted as I placed my sword near my head acting as a second horn. I then fired a massive blast that covered the whole sky, heading directly at the creature. The blast engulfed the sky in red and black as it caused a small compact explosion, to ensure the maximum amount of damage was done. The marks on my face retracted as my horn crumbled, and finally the hole in my chest closed. Though I couldn't rest, because when the smoke cleared its body was still there. It had no head or arms and the bottom half of its body was missing. I knew that I had won, but I couldn't shake the feeling that it wasn't over yet. Then I heard the a weird sound coming from the body, like if it was alive. I looked and saw it was slowly regenerating, which was supposed to be impossible. ' This is can't be possible. High Speed Regeneration isn't able to heal vital organs. I'm sure that his brain and other organs were destroyed in the blast, so what is happening?' I thought while raising my sword. In a few seconds, it's full body was regenerated, but it looked different. It now had more humanoid features, and was equipped with a sword. It also kept piece of its mask on its face, and the hole in its chest. Its spiritual pressure also increased way beyond my Bankai state.
