Chapter 9: Control

Hiyori P.O.V
His sword was mere millimeters away from cutting me in half. I was waiting for the exact moment where his blindspot would appear. Then it came, and I immediately ceased the opportunity. While his hand was still raised, I plunged my sword forward. We both seemingly swung at the same, and everyone watched in anticipation. After a few moments, he dropped to the ground with a wound from his left shoulder to his waist. Before he could heal, I shattered the mask with my sword, and fell to the ground as well. Everyone ran towards us, and after seeing my hands, their faces were only expressing panick. Hachigen assured me that he would try his best, though it would be a while before I completely heal. " So, he posed quite a challenge for you." Said Shinji as I glared at him. " The power he holds is scary. Ichigo's hollow was more chaotic, though his was almost calm and analytical. That ice was the worst part since it spread at an incredible pace and ensured that the battle was on his terms." I replied. " You did a good enough job, so just sit back and heal. When he wakes up, the real training will start." Said Shinji before I passed out from exhaustion.

Akira P.O.V
I opened my eyes and immediately sprang up from the ground. I was still in the desert-like area, though my chest was covered in bandages. " Finally you're awake." I heard the familiar squeaky voice say from behind. I turned and saw the group sitting on rocks, but what caught my attention was the condition of the girl. " Your hands." I said with guilt in my voice. " Don't worry about it. A fight always ends with some sort of damage. Just be proud that you were able to land a single hit on me." She said with a confident smile, though it was obvious that she was in pain. They then introduced themselves to me and explained the training.
