HOUSE NUMBER 5

There's just darkness...you slightly hear the sound of birds chirping in the distance then suddenly there's a few loud clacks as two rocks smack together and there's a bright glow of a fire as the flame arose. Surrounding the fire were 4 friends, looking intensely at each other, wondering what's next.

Jay, who is a big tough guy but has a big heart, speaks up first. "sooo what's the plan today?" he looks around confused. Isabela, who is small but very smart, excitedly explains,"Today we shall discover, and tomorrow we will be on the news!!"Sam, who is witty but wise adds on "it is believed that there is a haunted house nearby and some believe it to be real, while most think it's made up. We have isolated the area, and believe me, this is the best time to see this place. Otherwise, we might not get another chance", Rose who is quirky but brave exclaims "really?? welll let's check it out. Come on!" and she grabs Isabelas's arm, dragging her towards the entrance.

Jay follows close behind the girls, whispering to the group, "Let us go first, girls, we need to be careful." Rose scoffs and continues walking ahead to excited. Sam freaking out in his head says in a soft voice "hey guys, uh before we go in the house, I want to tell you about the history first", Sam pulls out his phone and informed "There has been sightings of a woman in a white dress with long hair that covers her face, but she was never seen up close". At this point, Sam looked scared as he continued explaining, "There are also news articles about people going in there and never returning back. Are you sure you guys still want to go in? We may have cracked many small mysteries before, but this is a bigger one, and I hope this trip doesn't break us or make us look like cowards. "

Rose shrugs it off "hey it could just be stories. If not, we will have one heck of an experience! And who cares what others think if we don't want to or it starts getting out of hand all we have to do is leave, I'm in if you guys are hands in if you want to go". Rose puts her hand in the middle of everyone, waiting for her friends to agree. Jay rubs his chin conflicted. "I don't know about this. It might be too much to handle, but we could learn a lot from this. Hmmm, I'm only in if all of us are. I agree. Let's try it, but back out if we need or want to. " Jay puts his hand on top of Roses, liking the idea.

Sam and Isabela convinced them to put their hands on top of Jay and Roses. Together, they all quietly cheer their special chant. "Stay close, be safe, let's GO." Sam leads the way in the general direction that was instructed they all then begin looking around for the famous House Number 5 amongst all the other abandoned houses. After walking by a bunch of dark scary looking houses, they all stand in front of the one they are looking for, the one most of the town is scared of...a huge old wooden sign overhead reads:

At this point, everyone stares at each others faces with a bit of nervousness but mostly with fear...the sound of owls cover the silence and then...The flame which they left to die down that was only a few yards away blows out by its self, with not a single gust of wind or anything around.

Jay gasps loudly, grabbing onto Sam "uh anyone wanting to back out? I get it if you do, " trying to hide how scared he really was. Rose felt a little scared but also a surge of confidence and shook her head to that. "Come on! maybe it was the wind or something else, we all go in together and all come out together" taking a deep and a bit of a shaky breath Rose pushes the big old doors open, a slow loud creak is heard as the doors swing open.

Bats screech flying out of the house right above everyones heads so they all duck down in fear, once they are all gone Sam waves his hand removing the spider webs that are in the doorway and gives the green signal for everyone to continue. Just then, Isabela shuddered. "I think I saw a shadow pass by!" everyone looks in the direction and quietly enters looking around the room, they notice the empty kitchen with rotten food on the table, a fridge that still has expired food and maggots all around, with disgust everyone leaves to visit the other rooms.

While on the way out of the kitchen, they find a floor that is weirdly sticky, which no one can explain what it could be. Maybe some pop was spilled and never cleaned up? I'm not sure what to think they all head upstairs. As they walk up, Jay thinks he hears whispering and freezes in a spot, getting a chill down his back he mumbles, "d-did you guys hear that?" Rose looks around and back at Jay questioning "hear what?"

Isabela frightened squeaks. "Are you talking about the door creaking sound downstairs?" Sam, not sure what to think clears his throat and quietly leads the way."Wait!" Isabela doubted."Was this room open when we entered? I am sure the door was closed.."Everyone enters the room trying to find clues it's just an empty room with no windows and a rug. As they walk around, there's a loud creak from under Sams feet. The board under his feet felt loose, so he bent down and removed the rug.

Sam stands up saying "eh guys, there's is a secret door here." All of a sudden, the door to the room shuts violently with a loud BANG, leaving everyone trapped inside. Isabela, who is terrified, screams, trying to pull the door open. "HELP!!!! This door won't open! how will we get out of here!!" Sam sweating in fear faltered,"I guess.. the only way we can leave is through this secret door. "

Jay studies the secret door and hesitates "I don't know about this before we even go close let's be sure you're prepaid for anything" Roses nods hooking her arms around Isabela and Jay points out sternly "and no splitting up!!"

Sam opens the door gently and finds a dark passage leading to the basement he annoyingly exclaims, "Who in the world would make a basement entrance in a room?" Everyone slightly giggles as their fear decrease. The passage was narrow, dark, and quieter than outside with all the abandoned houses. It's so silent that it brings a chill down everyones spine.

Sam luckily finds a random switch at the end of the room he flicks it on and everyone was shocked, filled with fear and confusion as they all look around the walls were bleeding with red blood all over, now surrounded by ceremonial masks and something has been written on the wall that made everyone silent "THE MOTHER IS WATCHING" Rose quietly reads it out loud suddenly the light turned off and it went pitch black.
