I blinked repeatedly, by believing what he said. "No. I Saw her die. She's back in the maze." Thomas, the good guy Thomas, laughed and wiggled his eyebrows at me.
"Hey Grace! Lizzie! Come out here for a sec." A door opened and there she was. The girl I had fallen so hard for. The girl who I'd shared my songs with. She was followed by a blonde girl who also looked familiar.
I heard Minho make a strangled gasping noise as the girls stepped out. At the time, I ignored it. My eyes stayed on Grace, who walked over to Thomas.
"Hey babe." she said, slipping an arm around his waist and kissing his cheek. My back straightened. My breaths became shorter and angrier. What was she doing? I was her babe. She was mine and I was hers. There was no other way.
Lizzie stood with her arms crossed and stared at Minho mockingly. But I was still in shock from her reappearance. "G-Grace?" I choked out the name I had longed to hear.
She smiled coldly. No this was not her, she didn't have a mean side. "Hello Newt. Minho, others. How wonderful to see you again."
I tore my eyes away from her to look at the rest of the Gladers, who looked just as confused as I felt. "Okay, so no time for questions. We need to do something." Thomas announced.
Quick as lightning, he pulled out a shotgun and pulled the trigger. It was pointed at Chuck. He was hit in the chest and red bloomed from the wound. I rushed forward and caught him before he fell limp. His eyes caught the last light and he was dead.
I expected to see Grace heartbroken, but she was not. Not even a tear. "What happened to you?" I yelled at her. The first word I said to her after her death were angry ones.
"Me? I woke up." she responded coolly. The thought of losing her, seeing her with Thomas and Chucks death all came back and hit me in the face. I emptied my stomach on the floor next to the door.
A couple guards came in after that and dragged us to buses. I saw Minho talking with Lizzie, but he was getting nowhere with her. I numbly boarded the bus and sat down in a seat across from Frypan. "What is happening to her?" I whispered. I knew it was too good to be true.A/N: okay I have a bad habit by making myself cry. This is the most heart wrenching chapter. I'm sorry, really sorry. Only one more chapter! Don't be sad, there will be a sequel. Bye lovelies!🌚
