Eden's Pov

We got back to the classroom safe and sound. I still have no clue what Samson was talking about earlier about we need to talk, but I brushed it off at this point, I'm sure he did too. By the time we returned, we only had 15 minutes left of the class, so our teacher just let everyone do their own thing as she had to mark another class' papers.

Samson and I took our seats and I started flipping through pages of my English book, Samson sighed.

"what's up with you?" I asked, not looking at him.

"nothing,"

Bruh. This guy. Okay, I know I'm annoying when I'm annoyed or mad, but at least I tell him why. He just says nothing. I feel like he acts more like a girl and I act more like a guy in the friendship. He stared deeply into mid-air.

"then why'd you sigh?"

"I didn't"

"you did though."

"I did not sigh Eden Rose Williams." He said sternly. I decided to shut up. When he says my full name, somethings definitely wrong. I don't know why he's acting like he didn't sigh though. I gave It a minute and decided to talk about something other than him sighing.

"What were you and Bella talking about earlier?" I played it off cool as if I wasn't getting mad about it earlier. All of a sudden Samson's sense of sadness was gone and a smile plastered his face. Welp. At least he wasn't mad.

"Oh yeah, she was telling me about this party this weekend she invited me to," his smile continued as he spoke. He was going to say something else, but he stopped.

"oh, nice." I didn't bother asking if I was coming. Even though I hated parties, I would always go with Samson. But as it was no surprise as it was Bella's party, I doubt my name even crossed her mind. As I was thinking, Samson's smile dropped.

"oh right—actually, I just thought of another thing to talk about later." He muttered.

"huh?" I asked, not really paying attention. He said nothing, I shrugged. This morning felt awkward.

The bell rang and people scattered out of the English classroom. Even though Samson and I were being a bit off with each other this morning, that didn't mean Samson and I were gonna leave it on an awkward note.

"what class you got Eidy?" Samson asked, slinging his hand over my shoulder as we walked out the classroom, almost as if we were leaving the unanswered questions and awkward experience inside there.

"Geography," I smiled, "what have you got?" I turned to look at him.

"Economics," he smiled back. We were now standing in the middle of the busy hallway, students pushing us—more like me, no one would dare to touch Samson.

"meet me at where we usually sit in the cafeteria, then we'll head outside so we can talk, okay?" Samson went all serious after a smile chuckle. He hugged me, like every day. We stayed like that for a second then her kissed the top of my head and smiled at me.

"love you," I whispered and let go of him,

"love you too." He blew a kiss to me, winked and then disappeared into the crowded halls. I let out an unintentional breath and my heart rate started to decrease from being over like 3423 beats per SECOND.

Geography went smoothly. I made note of a geography exam I had coming up, I guess Samson and I would have a study session together soon. Speaking of Samson, we have to talk about stuff. I think we'll be talking about Tyler probably, but I can't think of anything else. But I guess I'll have to wait and see.
