"Why did she actually think that I'm going to follow these people? Is she really letting me die here?"
~"Hey, can I talk to you?" Soogun peeked her head while holding the door. "Yeah? yeah, of course."
Soogun walked inside and sat behind her best friend, who was busy on his laptop, "I... I need your help...?"
Namjun looked back at her with concern, "Okay? You need my help and?" Soogun sighed, heads down, "I need you to help me find someone"~
Namjun held his baseball cap, making sure to cover his face, but enough to see the path he passed and the place. He continued following the two people he doesn't know in this crowded place. He believed these people are the right ones, just as Soogun described. "Seriously, Soogun. I won't ever let you sleep peacefully if I'll get caught here," Namjun murmured.
He thought he was following two men as they covered in all black, and seeing their figures, Namjun had no doubts these were men. Just as Soogun described, the other was shorter.
"Did she just let me deal with these young men?--"
Namjun slowed down his pace and tried to be closer to them when he found out the voice of the other guy familiar. While walking behind them, he knew something was not right. He recognized someone.
"Yeah? You don't believe me. What power do I even have? Just as much as you want her alive, I want her gone."
"You sound like you can kill me here. You're all a talk, Jisoo." the taller guy said, but Namjun is still taller than him.
"Are we exposing names now? You watch your mouth, sir. We might have cameras around us today. Even when I did make sure I was completely out of that ugly industry." the guy smirked and pulled his phone from his pocket.
Namjun kept his head low and stopped by a street food when he noticed the two heading the same way.
"Remember the 'House of Cards' people used to call?"
"That's... Noona's place," the guy whispered.
"They say the house got burnt not because the Queen lost the 'battle'... "
Namjun felt a vibration in his pocket and opened his phone as Soogun's name flashed on the screen. It was a message.
"... it was because the Ace lied in the eyes of the Joker, causing their downfall." the guy chuckled.
"Where did you even get that? Or are you making up stories again? I won't let you lay a finger on her, and just so you know, you can't move on your own." the guy looked away and just tried to enjoy the food in his tiny hands.
Namjun lost in his senses and was spaced out until his phone rang. The name of Soogun flashed again on his screen, but this time the woman was calling him.
[Namjun-ssi... Am I talking to no one? Hey Namjun!]
He answered the call, but his attention was still on the two guys who were now walking away from him. And just there, he remembered Soogun.
"Ah, Soogun--"
[Are you okay? Where are you tho? I went into your apartment earlier, but you weren't there? Anyway, did you know where Jimin is? Mama is looking for him.]
Namjun went silent and did what he knew he had to do, "Let's talk later. I have the address."
[What address? Wait, you saw them? I didn't tell you to do it now. Did they see you? Did you recognize them? Ugh, if that person who texted me is just playing with me, I really don't know anymore] Soogun sighed heavily, [...was Taehyung... one of them?]
