"Your mother stopped me from coming to you, from leaving my place."

Soogun takes off the protection her mother gave to her and places it on the table where everyone in the room can see it. "My mother died because of this. She was in front of me struggling to death in her sleep."

"I was there, and you're telling me my mother stopped you? You're making me laugh" Soogun picks up the necklace and wears it back around her neck and under her cloth as always.

"What do you know about Junghyun?" Eyes stay as emotionless that worries the man beside her even more. Soogun looks up at the painting behind Mrs. Kim when no one yet answers her question. "Mama even fooled me" Soogun lets out a bitter laugh.

"Soogun--"

"I didn't fool you," Mama calmly says. Jimin doesn't want Soogun to settle this situation in this way. That even when she speaks without agitation, she's not hearing her words.

"She asked for a favor to take care of you just like how I took care of her son. And about Junghyun...he is my son."

Soogun quickly turns her gaze to Mama. Shock and sadness are written on her face as her mouth slightly opens.

"When he came back with no hope after he still managed to stay alive in his surgery, he only wants to spend his last days with you. I let him--"

"You let him change his identity!" Jimin swiftly holds Soogun's hand and rubs them gently when she raises her voice

"He forced me! I also don't want it, but that's the only way he knew so he can be with you. I let him do what makes him happy and leaves without regrets" Soogun shuts her mouth and closes her eyes with her head looking up.

"Let them explain first, Noona. There are always reasons why these things are happening to us" Soogun opens her eyes and looks at Jimin who has full of care in his eyes. "Just like how you knew everything from the start, Jimin-ssi?"

"Why does Taehyung have to involve you here?" She notices how his eyes react to her words which only proves her right.

"How...did you know?"

"Eomma would never drag anyone in this mess, would she? Oh right, Mama is here."

Mama shows her book and places it on the table, catching Soogun's attention. Soogun gets back to what happened earlier with their talk and starts asking questions as soon she feels a slight pain in her head.

"How did my mother stop you, Eomma?"

Mrs. Kim has her eyes lock on the young woman in front of her while Soogun's still looking at the book. "I can hear her voice anytime she calls my name. When she was inside her dream, she called my name for the last time before she completely swallowed by her emotion. And that's when this house got on fire."

"Why did you have to pretend Junghyun as Taehyung?"

Mrs. Kim looks down and sighs silently, "I tried to turn down his request. As much as I don't want it, I have to do it. If your friends didn't find out, maybe it wouldn't be hard for you to finish your mission."

"Better that they found out, he doesn't need to follow other's life anymore." Soogun checks up and meets the eyes of Taehyung's mother. The other two in the room stay silent and quietly observe the two women in a serious talk.

Mama stands up and is about to leave, "Where are you going, Mama?" Soogun asks with concern, and Mama smiles at her, "This is an important talk between you two. I don't have the right to have an ear in your conversation. Although you didn't ask for space for only the two of you, I still have to excuse myself."
