Adriens/pov
As we looked to our seats we quickly realized that all the students were lined up in the BACK of the class, signaling that today our seats would be changed. That didn't make any sense though, since now that I was in jr year, I was taking a different science course, and the teacher here always let us choose our seats.

I looked over to mari who gave me a nervous smile before walking to the back of the class. I followed her hesitantly, if mari trusted it then I could too.

As the teacher started to call out pairs of two Alya ran up to her whispering something, the rest of our class giggled.

What's Alya whispering? Why is the class giggling? Do they KNOW what she's whispering about? Ugh, whatever! I might get paired with a STRANGER, I liked my old seat! This was horrible! Wait... I have to talk to mari before she gets partnered with some CREEP... WHAT IF SHE GETS PARTNERED WITH SOMEONE LIKE NATHANAEL!!!

"Mari!" I whisper shouted, she jumped back but then realized it was only me and softened. "What's up?" she whispered back smiling, "what do you think Alya was saying to the teacher?" I asked trying to start a conversation. "I dunno... Most likely something about wanting to sit with Nino" Marinette whispered back to me.

"Oh... I'm scared I don't wanna sit with someone I don't know!" I whispered back, "oh you are so fine..." she paused before realizing what she had said, "YOU WILL BE FINE HAHAHAHAHAHAAHA YOUR NOT FINE! I mean... WELL, YOU ARE! YOUR LIKE REALLYYYYY FINE- wait no NO NOT LIKE THAT!" Marinette let out a big sigh. "What I mean is- I'm sure you will be fine!" She smiled, "you're right! Besides, even if I get paired with someone I don't wanna be paired with its only one class!" I looked down at her and grinned.

As the teacher called out names eventually the only people left were me, Marinette, Nathanial, and max. I smiled nervously at Marinette who was giving Alya a confused look.

"Marinette, Adrien? You two will sit here!"

I grabbed Marinette's arm and pulled her away from Nathanial and towards our new seats. She laughs as she sat down, "see it ended up all right in the end!" She smiled patting my shoulder before taking out her notebook.

"Yep! You were right once again! Hey, are we still going to the mall today?" I questioned as I smelled her strawberry scent, reminding me of yesterday morning. "Yep! That's the plan!" she answered as the teacher instructed us to turn to our page.

Time skip to after school (R/pov)
As the four friends walked out front they chatted about the class. Alya inwardly laughed as Marinette and Adrien still didn't know she was the one who set up the plan to get new seats, and she was the one who suggested that mari and Adrien should be partners since they are "both such great leaders. "

"Oh look there is my driver! Are you guys ready?" Adrien said as he pulled his bag onto his shoulder. "The last one to adriens car has to pay for the food!" nino laughed as he zipped past the three other friends. While Marinette and Alya chased after Nino, Adrien stood at the top of the stairs just watching them, smiling, just happy he had a family, and especially happy Marinette was a part of it.

As they pulled up to the entrance of the mall and got out they chatted about what store they would visit first. Collectively they voted on hot topic, but the girls also wanted to go to h&m after.

In hot topic:
Adrien bought a cute black cat keychain as well as a black hoodie with a little green paw prints on the sleeves. After spending way too much time thinking, Marinette got a piglet tank top from Winnie and the pooh. Alya and Nino both got my hero phone cases that matched when held up together.

In h&m:
Nino got a pack of socks, Alya got a sweater, Adrien helped Marinette look at pairs of jeans but she didn't end up liking anything.

At the food court:
"Dude you were last to the car you gotta pay for the pizzaaaaa" Nino joked as Adrian bought a pizza and a few soft drinks. "So where are we going next?" Marinette asked as she ate a slice of pizza. "I need a new pair of shoes I was thinking we could go into the Nike outlet.." Adrien offered. "Yeah I need some new forces I was thinking of custom painting a pair!" Marinette smiled.

"So it's decided? Nike, then Yankee candle, then the comic shop?" Alya smiled. "Yeah, sure! Only if Marinette plans on custom painting my shoes too!" Adrian joked before taking another bite. "Sounds like a plan!" Nino agreed.

The mall trip recap:
After they are at the food court the four friend's made their way to the Nike outlet, where mari and Adrien both got a pair of air forces. Adrien somehow convinced Marinette to paint his new shoes that weekend too. Then they all went to the Yankee candle place and Alya picked out a new candle for her room. After that they went to the comic store where Alya got the new majestia comic, Adrien got an old addition of green lantern, nino talked to the salesperson about pre-paying for a comic that is coming out next week. Marinette looked through the re-run copies of some of her favorite comics but decided not to get anything. After about 3 hours at the mall, they decided it was time to go home. Adrien texted his driver to come to pick them up.

Adriens/pov
As we all walked towards the car with our bags I talked to mari about how I wanted my shoes painted and how much I should pay her. Unfortunately, Marinette being Marinette she refused to let me pay for it. I opened the car door for them as we all laughed, and after a few jokes and stories, it was time to drop Alya off. "Bye Alya!" Marinette smiled as Alya waved bye. Next, it was Nino, "bye dudes! Thanks for the ride I had lots of fun!" he smiled before closing the car door. Marinette's house was still about ten minutes away.

I had to get her talking, "that was fun!" I smiled over at her. "Oh yeah! Lots!" she giggled. I looked down at the two boxes of shoes, Marinette had assured me that she wanted to paint them but I didn't know when she was gonna take them.

She must have noticed me looking at the shoes because out of nowhere she said: "okay so I can take the shoes today and I should be done painting them by Sunday, I'll let them dry and then I'll give them to you on Monday at school!" I looked up and smiled.

It was Friday so I figured that would work fine with me, PLUS cat noir could see the shoes before then anyway. "That works out fine for me!" ill send you more pictures of what I want them to look like okay?" I chuckled as she nodded her head in agreement.

"So Marinette... Who do you like?" I grinned still looking at my phone
