To get what you want, one must break a few hearts and crush a few souls. That's the only way to survive in this jungle of inhumanity.

"You brought the wrong CD!" I wanted to smash his head with anything I could find. And fortunately, I had a glass of half-empty wine on my mahogany desk. I simply reached for that, and aimed for his head. But to my sheer annoyance, he ducked right before it could collide with his metallic, empty head. Instead, the glass of red wine collided with the crisp white walls of my office. It left a big red stain on my wall, and one I should be bothered about but I wasn't. Even that didn't seem to tick me off as much as I'd thought. But this! This was the height of anger, frustration, and pure irritation.

I was infuriated. He had only one task. Just one! And all the diadem had to do, was get me the right CD from the hands of Alisa, and then shoot her. And by shooting her, he had to ensure she died from it. But no! He didn't do it. The fool had me the wrong CD.

"You pathetic, foolish, nonentity! How could you grab the wrong CD?! Your task was pretty simple, you imbecile!" I almost threw a vase at him, but then I recalled that it costed nearly a fortune, and I had to put it back.

I breathed heavily, and he stared daggers and missiles at me. "What?! You'd shoot me? Call me infuriating now? Perhaps point a gun to my head again?!" I raised my voice at him. I was losing my mind. I seriously didn't know what else to do. Although, I did wish I could put an end to his miserable life. But that'd have to wait for later. As of now? Getting the right CD was all that mattered.

All the while I was yelling at the incompetent idiot, he was busy rolling a marble between his fingers. I was utterly displeased, and the fact that he seemed chill while I looked like I'd lost my senses, was only adding to my anger.

"I'll get the job done properly. I always do. And so, please don't teach me how to do my job." He said, and I narrowed my eyes at him. How could he even say that? He couldn't even get one job right!

"And yet you couldn't get this one job right, huh?! Look who's talking about always getting the job done. I'm humored." A sarcastic laugh escaped my lips and I tried my best to keep my head in one place.

Feeling too exhausted, I sighed and took a seat once again. "Is she alive?" I decided to ask, and he grunted before he replied.

"There's every possibility that she will survive." I drummed my fingers against my desk the minute he said this.

"Well then, let her be. I'll handle Alisa's case in my own way. I already have." I smirked, and made to turn my swivel chair towards him.

"All you have to do is ensure no one else gets in the way. No one at all. If anyone tries it, then kill them without hesitation. Understood?" I ordered, and he nodded.

"For now, we have no threats. It seems like the Kamsi boy has given up on finding out who we truly are. Although, he still suspects his father a lot." He said, and I let out a hysterical laugh.

"Then that's fabulous. He's not our problem... At least, for now."

He nodded in understanding.

"Handle him either ways. I want you to keep an eye on that boy. I don't trust him one bit."

He nodded again. "And this time?" I turned my chair around and made sure I was staring straight at him. "Do get the job done properly. I can't afford to accommodate any further incompetence. Miss our target again? And then you're fired. Don't forget that I'm the reason why you walk the streets of Nigeria, without any fear. I cover you, I'm your shield. So before doing anything stupid, think about that." My eyes remained rooted at him, and he let out a frustrated grunt and nodded in understanding. He knew he had no choice.

"Yes ma'am."

I smiled at his reply, and grabbed another glass from a shelf in my office. I poured him a tall glass of wine and pushed it towards him. "Care to drink?" I asked, and he shook his head, no.

I chuckled, and stared at the red liquid as it swirled in the transparent glass. It reminded me of the bloods I'd spilled, and it made me aware of the more I had to spill. I rose the glass to my lips, and took a huge gulp from it.

"Just get my job done, would ya?"

He nodded.

I took another gulp from the glass, and let out a sigh of relief. Nothing like good wine, and a satisfactory win. "That's all for now. This meeting is over. You may leave now." I dismissed, and he immediately got off the wall he had been leaning on, and finally exited my office.

"Moron." I muttered under my breath, before consuming the last content of my wine. It'd only be a few days, before I'd have what I wanted. I'd make sure of that.
