Music is at Fault Here

Hey, my fellow KotLC fanfic obsessors!! I'm so so so sorry for making you wait. my life has been rough lately trying to live up to high standards. I'm trying to graduate so I can move on to high school and then be the first one in my family to go to college but this year has been so hard. I don't even know if I'll be able to go to school for highschool or just homeschool again next year(which would probably make me go insane) I hope this chapter makes up for some of it but I will try harder to write when I'm not busy figuring out if my life is always going to be complicated. I love you so much and thank you all for supporting me and taking care of me and loving me. I also have a couple shoutouts for my friends who have helped me find myself and who have given me soo so much love.

I LOVE YOUUUUUUU!!!! Sry you guys are probably like "SOOO Avie? When are you actually going to start writing the story we've all been waiting months for???" 

Well, here it is!! This is where stuff starts to escalate!

Sophie gasped.

There, on the wall was a chalkboard drawing. Keefe was just making finishing touches when he looked up and saw Sophie in shock.

"Uh, Foster? Are you ok?"

Sophie looked at him and then noticed something in his hand. She dropped the snacks she had in her hand to the floor in shock. Sophie stepped closer and touched the stormy blue wall Keefe had drawn on.

"How did you-"

It was her family. Sophie suddenly felt like she couldn't breathe. Keefe caught her just as she was collapsing onto the ground and helped her to her bed. They sat down.

"I'm sorry Sophie! I didn't know that this would happen. I was just trying to draw something but then I noticed this picture on your bed and decided to draw it. I shouldn't have been so nosy and just kept to myself. It's all my fault. I'm so stupi-"

"Keefe, stop. It's beautiful, okay? It's just...my family was shot while at a concert. I didn't go because I was having a sleepover with Fitz and Biana and I didn't want to leave. So my family went without me. When I came back and found out, I told myself I would never ever sing or have anything to do with music ever again. Because that's what killed my family. Music is at fault here. Not you Keefe."

Keefe lay back onto the bed, "How long has it been?"

Sophie lay back too, laying her head on Keefe's chest, " 11 years"

Keefe lightly touched Sophie's cheek as she let a stubborn sob escape from her lips, "Hey, Sophie, It's gonna be okay."

Sophie realized that Keefe had actually called her by her real name. 

"You just called me by my real na-"

"Yeah I did. See? I can be serious too!" Keefe made a very serious face which sorta freaked Sophie out. She sat up after Keefe had been staring at her for about a minute straight. "Keefe, stop that's really creepy."

Keefe stopped staring and smirked as he sat up, "Sorry but it was kinda funny seeing you squirm." His eyes drifted over to her desk.

"Um...Foster?"

Sophie turned to where Keefe was pointing and turned red, "OH uh...um I- thats not what it looks li-"

Keefe laughed as she got up and picked up the picture frame and hid the frontside against her chest.

"Was that Fitz?"

Sophie looked away before he could tease her about how much she was blushing, "Yeah...he was my boyfriend but then uh he got angry at me because I didn't apply for the same college as him. He broke up with me after our fight and I haven't talked to him ever since.

Keefe looked away and mumbled something about " Sounds like something Fitz would do."

Keefe took the photo from her hands and layed it back on her desk, "Do you ever have the urge to sing or whatever?"

Sophie sat down on the bed next to Keefe so that their legs were touching, "All the time."

Keefe locked eyes with Sophie and leaned closer...
