The blind are those who can't see the colors in certain things. The deaf have ears who can't see the colors of music. The mute whose lips could not see the colors of sounds. Those blind to happiness could not see the colors of joy. The ignorant blind to Intelligence, like saying red was their favorite color when it was the only color they ever saw, not willing to seek other colors.

Azlyn was blind.

Or you Could say here eyes were deaf; they could not hear the sounds of colors. Or you could say they are mute; they could not speak the language of colors.

But it was within this darkness that Azlyn found herself. In this darkness she found different shades of black, intertwiNing and looping and overlapping in her nonexistent viSion.

Her name meant "drEam" and "vision." Once she wished she had what her name meant. But now she realized she'd always had it.

For those who could sEe could not describe any colors to Azlyn. She still didn't know what yellow or blue was. But Azlyn could describe black. Every shade of it.
