Teacher's Chinchilla

So, I have a math teacher who owns a chinchilla named Cherry Blossom, and had her for 14 years. Her chinchilla isn't doing good, and she was super worried and the vet told her that she's still feisty despite being an old chinchilla, but she's still very worried over the health of her long-time companion. She even started crying in class when explaining the situation, and now I'm sad and was trying very hard not to cry.
