Cassie pov
Everybody is so walking around the house as if they preparing for doomsday. I look at Carlisle who is breathing hard while walking around the kitchen and say
"What in God's world is wrong with you imbeciles?"
He looks at me and says
"The volturi are basically like vampire royalty, they have been around for ages. They have also tried their hardest to recruit as many vampires as possible. The problem is that your a newborn, they will definitely try to get you"
I look at him and say
"Then I'll just kill em"
Carlisle sighs and Jasper chuckles. He says in his deathly sounding voice, which i guess makes sense considering what he is
"It's not that simple"
I say
"Why not?"
He says
"They are powerful, some of them have gifts that are way to dangerous"
I look at him and say
"Do I have gifts?"
Carlisle smiles and sits next to me as he says
"Maybe you do, maybe you don't. We don't really know"
I say
"The hell you mean you don't really know"
He rolls his eyes and I roll mine as well. I say
"Well then it sounds like we don't have much to do other then wait for their arrival"
Edwards holds Bella closer and says
"They are waiting for us to come, I can hear it"
I look at him and Carlisle nods before getting up and saying
"Let's go"
We get out of the house and use our vampire speed to run towards the middle of the forest which is we're we played baseball. I look to see a a girl in a black long hoodie alongside three men who are also dressed the same way. She inspects me up and down and says
"I see you were able to join us, I'm glad"
She looks at me and I feel some sort of force try to strangle me but that is held to some sort of restraint. I look at Bella and see that it's her force field protecting me. I must admit, the idea that this bitch tried to strangle me upsets me and before I know it, her body starts to tremble and marks start to appear on her face like the roots of a tree. She chocked as she holds her throat and Carlisle holds me close while whispering
"Let her go"
He plants small pecks on my cheek and neck as the girl starts to come back to normal. She looks at me petrified. She holds her neck and face in shock as I smirk. She says
"How did you......"
I roll my eyes and say
"Little girl, don't come around asking stupid questions. It's my gift, the same way yours is to cause pain"
She glared at me and says
"The volturi will hear of this"
I say
"Ok so when you leaving?"
She gives me one last glare before using her vampire speed to leave. There is a tall vampire man who was standing next to her that throws me a smirk before they all vampire run away as well.
