A/N: Don't start the song yet!

Today we were leaving Hogwarts for the summer. Neville and I walked to the train together and he insisted on carrying my stuff along with his. No matter how much I tried to talk him out of it. That is one thing I always loved most about him. His stubbornness is just adorable. I've always loved everything about him, but his stubbornness is just too cute. Once we got to the train station, he put our bags away and wrapped his arm around me, pulling me out of my thoughts. "Are you okay, Love? You've been distant these past couple of days." "Yeah I'm fine. It's just, the man who changed my life forever, and led me to meeting you, died. He protected my family when I left home to come to Hogwarts. Now he's gone and they don't have the protection they had. I'm just scared because anything could happen to them." We sat down in the same compartment we came to Hogwarts in and I snuggled up close to him and laid my head on his shoulder. "Ok you should know how this summer is going to go." He told me. "Ok then. Tell me" He nods and continues, "When we get to the platform, Grandma will be waiting there for us. I'll introduce you to her and you need to be as polite as you can around her." I nod and he goes on "We'll most likely apparate back. We'll put your things in my room while Grandma makes lunch. We'll basically keep the same routine for the majority of the summer and every now and then we might go visit my mum and dad. Also Grandma's cooking is rather bland so just be prepared for that." I nod, chuckle slightly at his opinion of his grandmas cooking and fall asleep.

Neville nudges me awake and says "Love, come on we're here." I wake up and groggily follow him. Once we get off the train, Neville points out a rather frail looking woman who's waving at us. "Neville! Oh I've missed you! Is this the girl you told me you'd be bringing home for the summer?" She asks, pulling him into a hug. Neville nods and says "Yes. Grandma, this is Y/N, my girlfriend." I smile and say "Hi. I'm guessing you are Mrs. Longbottom?" "Why aren't you sweet? Yes, but you can call me Augusta." I nod and we apparate to their house. Neville walks me to his room and shows me where I can put my clothes. Neville and I unpack and then sit on his bed. He lays back and I lay on top of him. "Hogwarts beds sure are comfortable but there's no place like home." "That sure is right. I feel more at home with you than I do when I'm with my family. I love you so much Neville. I don't wanna lose you. No matter what happens in this war, I can't lose you. Losing you would be like losing a part of me. I can't go through that." He rubs my back as I start to sob into his chest. "Love, look at me." He holds my head up by my cheeks. I look into his deep green eyes. "No matter what happens I will make sure that you don't lose me to this war. I love you more than you will ever know. That promise ring on your finger, it represents me promising you forever." I nodded my head and laid my head back on his tear-stained chest. His grandma opened the door and said "Lunch is ready, lovebirds." I chuckled and stood up to go get my food. Neville was right when he said her food was bland. This food barely had any flavor. Neville leaned over and whispered in my ear, "Don't worry. There's a muggle village nearby where we go for supper." I whispered back, "thank goodness."

"How do you live so close to Muggles but have never listened to their music? Like seriously their music is great!" I tell him while starting to play a cd I bought while we were out for supper. It started with strawberry wine by deana carter. "Strawberry wine, 17, the hot July moon saw everything my first taste of love Oh bittersweet green on the vine like strawberry wine" I sang along with the song. It was Mom's favorite. "You're right muggle music is really great." I pressed replay. Neville stood up and held his hand out for me, "May I have this dance my lady?" I giggled, rolled my eyes, and said "Of course my good sir." I wrapped my arms around his neck and he placed his hands on the small of my back. We began to sway slowly in time with each other and the music. I laid my head on his shoulder and the song slowly faded out. At the end of the song, he spun me around and kissed me. From that day forward, that was our song. Every time it came on we had a moment.
