"Congratulations! You are having a girl!"

I began smiling brightly. "Look, Nev! You were right! We're having a baby girl!" He laughed at how excited I was.

"Yeah. I guess I was." He said very unenthusiastically. I pointed it out, "You don't seem very excited. What's wrong?" "I guess it just hit me. I'm gonna be a dad. We're having a daughter!"

I smiled at him and the nurse left the room to print out a couple pictures from the ultrasound. I wiped the disgusting gel off my belly and pulled my shirt back down.

When the nurse came back, she congratulated Neville and I again and left. Neville and I left and decided it was time to go home since I was starting to get tired.

------------LATER THAT DAY------------

I woke up from my nap to Neville holding a tray of food that he had made for me for supper.

"Hey. I thought you might be hungry so I made you supper. If you're not hungry, it's fine. I don't want you eating if you don't feel like it."

I chuckled at his cuteness. "I'm starving. Thank you."

He nodded as he came and sat on his side of the bed. He asked me if I needed anything else and I shook my head as I laid it on his shoulder.

"What about Lana?" I asked, breaking the silence.

"What?" he asked with a hint of confusion in his voice.

"For our daughter you idiot. We need a name. I was also thinking about Alice. Naming her after your mom seems like a good idea."

He chuckled and said, "What about Alice Lana Longbottom? That way we have both the names you thought of."

I nod and say "Alice Lana. It's beautiful. A beautiful name for a beautiful girl." "If she's anything like her mother, she'll be more than beautiful. She'll be perfect."

I smile at his compliment and push away the almost empty tray in front of me.

He gets my gesture and picks up the tray and walks into the kitchen.

I feel a random urge to get everything set up in the baby's room. I get out of bed and go into the room we designated to be the babys room and look at all the boxes and decide to work on the crib first.

I sit on the floor and begin opening the crib box. Neville joins me in the room and asks what I'm doing and I tell him I felt like this needed to get done so I'm doing it.

He chuckles at the fact that I'm already nesting and gets on the floor on the opposite side of the box I'm working with. He takes everything out of the box and I say, "How does a crib have so many parts? This is going to take forever."

He gestures to my pocket where I have my wand and I laugh at my forgetfulness.

I pull it out and say a spell and the crib assembles itself while I move on to a rocking chair we were going to put in the corner.

Neville starts working on the wall decor and he puts almost everything in the wrong spot so we switch and I fix what he did.

------------HALF AN HOUR LATER------------

Neville and I finally finished setting up the nursery and we were sitting on the couch in the living room with the radio on in the background when I heard a knock at the door.

I open it and Hermione and Ron are standing there. I invite them in and turn the radio down just a tad. They sit on the loveseat across from the couch where I sit back down next to Neville.

"What are you guys doing here? Couldn't you have sent us an owl to warn us or ask to come over?" Neville asks worriedly.

Then I noticed a ring on Hermione's finger that I hadn't noticed before. I decide to stay quiet about it assuming what they're about to tell us.

Hermione looks into Ron's eyes and he nods. They had always had this connection. It was like one could understand what the other wanted to say without any words ever being spoke.

Then Hermione smiles and says, "We're engaged!"

Neville and I simultaneously congratulated them and Neville whispered in my ear, "Took them long enough." I slap him lightly and he acts like he's hurt.

Ron asks me, "Do you happen to have any leftovers or anything? We've been going around for an hour and haven't had supper yet."

Hermione rolls her eyes and I tell Ron where he can find some leftover chicken from the other night.

He finds it and takes a whole leg and grabs a napkin. He comes back and sits next to his fiancé. Once Ron finishes his chicken, he and Hermione leave and Neville and I turn in for the night.
