We arrived at work around 9:30am. The whole team was already there doing paperwork. Usually a few times a week we spend about a day on filling reports and reading some old case files, and today was just one of those days, so nothing to exciting. Until Eric and Nell were at the top of the stairs.
Eric: *Whistles to get attention* We got a case.
"I guess the engagement announcement will have to be later" I thought to myself, as we all rushed upstairs to OPS. Nell and Eric started to brief us on the case and gave us our assignments.
Nell: Around 4:00am last night there was a murder at an Italian restaurant. Retired Navy seal General Luke Siegel was killed but we have no idea who killed him or why he was killed.
Deeks: Was he there just for food or was it for a meeting?
Eric: We don't know. The security cameras by the main entrance was disconnected so we don't know who went in or out. But there was a camera by the table he was sitting at, but it was disconnected as well around 3:45am.
Kensi: Why was the restaurant still open so late at night?
Nell: We don't know. We want you and Deeks to go talk to the wife. Sam,Callen, and Anna go check out the restaurant.
Kensi: On it.
Deeks: Why would anyone want to have dinner at 3:00 in the morning? But wouldn't that be considered breakfast since it's in the morning but it's still dark so it's kinda like night and.........
Kensi: DEEKS LET'S GO!!
Deeks: Coming!!
After Kensi and Deeks left; Sam, Callen, and I went to the restaurant. Callen and I were just there last night before he proposed to me. It was a perfect night and now we're going back there for a murder investigation. As soon as we got to the restaurant someone ran and so I went to chase them while Sam and Callen talked to the owners.
Callen: Why were you open so late?
Restaurant owner: They arranged to have a meeting and they asked that the cameras be turned off. We turned it off and then left the room. After about an hour we went back to check on them and the one guy was gone and there was blood everywhere and the body was on the floor. I didn't know what to do so I just called the police.
Sam: Ok, thank you for your time.
Callen's POV
We finished up talking with the owner and Anna still hasn't come back yet.
"I'm going to go look for Anna. She should have back by now."
Sam: Ok, I'll be in the car.
"Ok, I'll be back." I said as I headed off to go find Anna.
