Hawk and Nicole woke up the next morning to the smell of cinnamon.

"Good morning, Mrs. Moskowitz." Nicole greeted as they walked downstairs together.

"Good morning, sweetheart, how did you sleep?" She asked as she flipped some french toast.

"Really well, thank you." Nicole lied and sat down.

At first, she fell asleep with Hawk's words playing in her mind, but found herself re-living the fight with her dad, waking up from it throughout the night.

Hawk poured some orange juice into a cup from the fridge, then chugged the whole cup and tossed it into the sink.

"Eli, honey, I love you, but please don't throw the cup. Also, be nice to your guest and pour her some too. I did teach you manners." Mrs. Moskowitz scolded her son.

"I know, Mom. Sorry." He looked down, slight embarrassment on his face and poured Nicole some orange juice as well as himself another glass.

"Thank you." She muttered to him.

"Yeah. I'll be right back." He kissed the top of her head and left the room.

Mrs. Moskowitz watched her son leave, then turned back to Nicole.

"Between you and I, he's still that shy little Eli under all that gel and hair dye." Mrs. Moskowitz said.

"Well, of course he is. He does have new hair and maybe some more confidence, but he'll always be Eli." Nicole agreed.

"You're right. We haven't lost our boy yet. And yes I said our. Don't think I didn't notice that forehead kiss." Mrs. Moskowitz pointed to the girl with the spatula.

"You don't have a problem with it right? Because—."

"Nicole, it would be an understatement if I said that I was hoping the two of you would get together. I mean, it was obvious that it was going to happen at some point." Mrs. Moskowitz answered.

Nicole giggled. "You sounded just like Courtney."

Mrs. Moskowitz laughed and Hawk walked back into the room with his father following him.

"Good morning, everyone. The sun is bright and shining today and I see you still have a mohawk." Mr. Moskowitz mentioned to his son.

"Yeah, Dad, I still have a mohawk. Anything else you'd like to point out?" Hawk sighed and sat back down next to his girlfriend.

"I'm just teasing you, son. Hey, Nicole, my buddy, what's going on." Mr. Moskowitz smiled at the girl and took a seat at the other end of the table.

"Nothing much, Mr. Motz, how's the bright and shining sun treating you?" Nicole resided her eyebrows, taking a sip of her orange juice.

"Very well, night I say. I love weather like this." He replied.

"Mm, very well just like it treated you on that trip to Aruba last year." Nicole joked.
