Continuation
Shit. Shit.
I halted turning around to face them. They looked unfazed as though they weren't the ones ripped my heart out and made me walk away from them.
"Yes?" I asked gently. Louis looked at me for a moment then sighed. "Already replaced us I see." "What are you talking about?" I eyed him suspiciously.
"That blonde kid and Rhea. You guys seem to be very close," Liam adds, a flash of hurt could be seen in his eyes. My demeanor immediately changed, "no you don't get to guilt trip me. You should have though of that before you started acting like assholes." I scoffed and walked out the building.
I mean but you know what they say, Murrow always finds a way to get messy with friends.

"Alright, alright. Good practice, hope y'all enjoyed the sprints," Coach grinned watching his out of breath team. My legs felt like jelly and I'm pretty sure my lungs are about to collapse.
I've never been very good at basketball so I don't understand why he has me practicing with the team. I'm supposed to be the team MANAGER, not apart of the team. Unfortunately, I can't get out of the workouts because my mum thinks it's good for me.
"Get water," he dismisses us but points me out. "Not you Zayn. C'mere," he says while grabbing me by the shoulder. "Tomorrow I need to get you out of class early so that we can separate all of the team gear. Also, here is our schedule. First scrimmage is in three weeks. I need you there and already knowing how to fill out the paperwork," Coach informs making sure to tap on the stack of papers he just handed me.
"Yes sir," I nodded, feeling slightly overwhelmed. "Good, now you're dismissed." He patted me on the back and pushed me towards the locker rooms.

After practice ended, I had to take a detour to the football field. I caught sight of Coach Williams and jogged over to him. "NO, I TOLD YOU TO STAY ON THE DEFENSIVE LINE YOU DUMBAS- hello Zayn!" He stopped mid sentence when he saw me.
"Hi coach!" I smiled, my tongue poking through my teeth. "Congratulations on the scholarship!" He smiles brightly and shakes my hand. "Thank you sir. If you don't kind me asking though, how did you know?" I ask confused but grateful.
"Of course I know! One of our Murrow students getting a scholarship outside of football, that's huge!" He boasts. "You and other talented kids are gonna put Murrow back on the map," he says pointing at me.
"How would I do that?" I laugh, not believing a word he said. "People are finally gonna realize that Murrow isn't for the ghetto drug dealers anymore. That we have smart black and brown kids that are getting scholarships for D1 schools left and right. And that starts with you," he replies. "If anyone is gonna make it out this city, it's gonna be you."
"Wow," I respond, feeling a new pressure I wasn't aware of before.
"Anyways, what can I do for ya son?" He asked, guiding me to a bench. "Need this signed for Mehki since he's playing basketball and for a schedule of the play off games," I said, handing him the sheet of paper.
"Harry! Take Zayn to get a schedule," he barked, snatching the attention of the clumsy boy. Harry's smile immediately dropped making my heart clench. I ran through scenarios in my head, trying to remember if I fucked up at all.
"Thanks Coach," I grimaced and walked towards a glum Harry.
"Follow me," he mumbles and leads me to the football den. "Wow, this place is dope. I've never been here before," I say in awe of the football themed den. "Well obviously. You're a freshman and not on the football team," Harry scoffs.
"Um right," I awkwardly laugh. "So, how are you?" The tension is thick between us and his expression is hard as though he doesn't want to be around me.
"Peachy," he responds, his hands grazing over the shelves in search of paper. "Here it is," he says, handing me a sheet of paper and heading for the door.
"Wait!" I grab his hand and pull him back on the room. "What?" Harry sneers, snatching his hand from mine. "What did I do?" I ask, cocking my head to the side.
"I don't know. You tell me," he gives me one last look before walking out. Pouting, I follow him out the room and to the front of the school.
About ten minutes later I reach the front and head towards the parking lot where my mum should be waiting for me. "Hey love," she says as I get in the car. "How was your day?" She asks.
Terrible.
"Really good mom," I lie through my teeth. "Good, did you invite people to the party I'm planning?" She asks while driving out the parking lot. "Uhh, sorry I forgot but how was your day?" I reply quickly so I won't get yelled at.
"Of course you did," she mutters, not looking surprised. "Sorryyy, I'll ask tomorrow." I grinned. "You better," she gives me a look and I nod.
Hahaha. How are you guys?
Why do you think Harry is mad again?
