Chapter 11 - The Prom Night

I came straight back to the dorm right after we were done decorating the hall and fall asleep almost immediately. Meanwhile, Aaron was being dragged by the twins and Kenith right after we have done with our work. I hope they're not troubling him, I only heard the word bowling before he was being dragged. Maybe they ask him to bring them there.

By the time I woke up, it's already nighttime. At that moment, Roxy came in as she jumps into her bed. She looks tired for some reason. I realized her face is red when she face up, staring at the ceiling. Fever? That's what I'm guessing, so I ask her "What happened?" "Caleb..." She answered as she's covering her face, muffling his name. I believe it's the guy who sent her thousands of texts before.

"Is he your date for the prom tomorrow?" She nodded her head, still covering her face. So I'm guessing she's embarrassed right now, not having a fever. I kind of can tell she's excited about it. I also feel the same, I can't wait to see Aaron wearing the suit I made.

Someone knocks on the door, making me get it myself as Roxy is making fumes out of her face. I was being hugged instantly as soon as I open the door. "You stupid pervert octopuses twins, let go of my sister!" He pulled them and started to shout at each other.

Roxy stops producing fumes as she asks who they are. "They're just someone I knew since long ago," She just stares at them in confusion and points at them, looking worried afterward. "Shouldn't you stop them?" "Don't mind them, it's normal," She still looks worried but then she gets off the bed, saying that she needs to cool herself by taking a shower.

As she went into the bathroom, Yuki smiled as he put a thumb up followed by the others, "Approve! You can keep going out with him without any worries," I knew something is up with them suddenly appear here.

"Yuki and I were assigned by your mother to see if Aaron can be trusted, but instead, we found out he's just a guy that's fun to hang out with, so we forgot what we were supposed to do at that point." Well, I knew it. I should've known. I turn at Aiden, waiting for his answer. "I just want to see what kind of brother-in-law I'm going to have soon,"

"That's just too far, he doesn't see me romantically," I respond to Aiden's words. "Told you she didn't realize, you owe me $5," He put out his hand to them as the twins look defeated, I don't know what it's about, so I just ignore it. They hugged me before they going back to the mansion. My mother seems to be cautious about him. The boys approve of it, I don't know about my parents. My father seems to be okay with it, his wife is the problem...

The next morning, Roxy wakes up already and is sitting on her study table. "Good morning," She greeted me as I greet her back while scratching my head. I look back at her as I realized she's staring at me. "You usually just nod your head and just went off your bed immediately before. Being close with Aaron is a good thing then?"

I do realize that I've changed and he's the reason for it, I can tell I started to speak more too. "Since you have feelings for him, why don't you confess to him?" I turned at her in shock, asking her how she knows that. "I've known you for quite long already since we've been a classmate and a roommate since a freshman, I can tell it easily compare to other people,"

It's the first time I have seen someone know about me just from looking other than from my family. That makes me happy, to be honest. "I know it's the last year of school, but, can we be friends?" She crosses her arms and shakes her head, disagreeing. "I would rather be your best friend instead. I mean, I can tell you anything about Aaron that son of a bitch,"

That almost made my heart drop. I thought she doesn't want to be my friend. "You really got panicked just now," She let out a laugh afterward, making me smile.
