Dance in the Rain

THEZZA

Napatingin ako sa labas. The skies are dark. Mukhang uulan na naman.

Last flight namin, muntikan na kaming maabutan ng ulan. Mabuti nalang at may salitang 'muntikan'. Now, I'm sure that this is gonna rain so hard.

We're now home. Today's 20, mamaya na ang dinner party nila Tita at nasama pa ako. I'm sure Symon too. Well, wala akong magagawa dahil malaki ang utang na loob ko kay Tita.

I heard some knockings of the door. When I opened it, it was Tita. She's holding a dress.

"Dear, wear this tonight, okay?"

Kinuha ko ang damit at sinuri ito. It's a purple whole dress. Medyo maikli kaya nag-reklamo agad ako. "Tita, it's so girly... Hindi ba puwedeng mag-jeans nalang?" I smiled awkwardly, showing my teeth.

Tita Rosie sighed. "Well, I contacted Clara, she's my wardrobe assistant, she'll be sending dresses this afternoon. You can choose later."

Napangiwi agad ako. "Why am I even trying so hard, Tita? It's your party, not mine. Tsaka okay lang po talagang mag-jeans ako."

"Thezza, my dear, you have to look presentable."

"Pero—"

"Na-ah! No more rants. Please?"

I sighed and said yes to Tita. Isinara niya ang pinto sa kwarto ko, dala-dala ang dress.

Do I really have to look presentable? Tita is just being so over reacting... Goodness gracious.

Pero puwede nga rin naman. I'll just have to wait for the dresses then.

"I think the red one fits her better."

Pagtatalo pa nina Tita at Miss Clara. Nasa closet room kami ngayon. Ten minutes ago, Miss Clara finally arrived here and Tita was the one who formally introduced her to me.

Miss Clara is a pretty lady. She has this big brown eyes. She walks and talks like a lady. They're definitely close with each other. I mean, Tita has the same spirit as her. Halata iyon sa sitwasyon ngayon.

There are actually 50 dresses in total but only two of them stand out. The blue dress is just a formal one. It has a round neck. It is also a sleeved dress. Medyo mataas nga lang. Ang pulang damit ay medyo stylish. Transparent ang nasa collarbone na part but it's 3 inches above the knee.

If I were to choose, I would choose the red one. Classy, strong, independent, young, Thezza. I laughed at the thought.

"It's the red one that I'm choosing." I finally decided. Tita Rosie groaned because I did not chose  her pick. Miss Clara just smiled sarcastically at her.
