Freezing. Shaking. Shivering. My teeth chattered as I stood in the freezing cold. I had lost all my materials, my armor, my weapons; everything. I wished I hadn't brought my bed with me now, because I couldn't just teleport back to my base. No one knew how the teleporting worked, but nobody was willing to seek the answers, so everyone just went with it.

I saw a polar bear over near the ice; my instincts told me to kill it, but my mind told me not to, as I had nothing to kill it with. My shaking legs started to walk towards it. 'Stop,' I told myself in my mind, but my legs continued to walk, steadily nearing the white creature. I was hugging myself subconsciously in the cold, wishing I could stop and that this was all a stupid  dream. "Wake up," I mumbled, squeezing my eyes shut. My shoes slipped in the snow, closing in on the polar bear.

Why wasn't it working? Why hadn't I woken up? Why wasn't I sitting up in my bed right now? In all my panic, I'd slipped on the snow, making myself fall backwards and hit my head. The snow may have been soft, but my head fell straight through it, colliding with the hard ground.

THIRD PERSON

A teenaged boy with blonde hair grunted as he walked through the snow, mumbling to himself, "Stupid Dream . . . I didn't even do anything . . ." He heard a small thud up ahead and looked up. He could see a lump in the snow, dangerously close to a polar bear. Was that a person? Was it worth risking his life to save someone he didn't even know? He wasn't even sure if they were alive. 'Is it worth it?' he kept questioning himself.

He had only noticed that he'd subconsciously edged nearer to the person when he heard the soft grunt of a bear. His eyes darted to the direction of the noise; the polar bear had seemingly noticed that his potential next meal was being served. The boy didn't have time to think, when he started sprinting to the body. He picked them up quickly, not paying any attention to the small amount of blood seeping through the material of his white and red shirt. He didn't really care for that right now though, he just wanted to get to safety.

An idea popped into his head; it mightn't work, but it was his only chance. He didn't move away from the polar bear, instead provoking it. The creature stretched out its sharp claws, threatening to attack. When the teen continued to pull stupid faces at it, the bear leaped and began attacking. Scratch after scratch, the bear ripped through his skin. He wanted to cry out in pain, but bit his lip and held it in.

'Please work,' he was repeating in his mind, 'please work, please work.' It had to work . . . Dream wouldn't just let him die, right? His eyes squeezed shut, he mumbled, "Please . . ."

A strange feeling of being stretched and twisted fell over him, he felt his eyes being forced back into his head, the stinging of all his wounds worsen, and his chest tighten. Everything was black, but he knew he was still holding the person because he could feel the weight of their body in his arms. And as soon as it started, it ended.

He opened his eyes and blinked a few times, taking in his new surroundings and the light. He saw the furnaces across the room, the torches lighting up the entire area, the wooden floor planks. All his injuries were gone. He was sitting weakly on a pink bed, still holding the body in his arms. He examined their facial features while he could; they had clear S/C (skin colour) skin, with a N/S (nose shape) nose, pointed elf-style ears poking out from H/C (hair colour) hair that fell over of their forehead. Streaks of red blood rolled down their cheek, coming from the top of their hairline.

"Tommy!" shouted an angry voice from one of the many doorways. "What are you doing here, I put you out there for a reason!"
