Tayo, it's about time you thought of setting your priorities straight. Go for your masters, come back and pick a responsible Yoruba lady for a wife. Then, take over my company. What makes this so difficult for you to do? After all, I heard you were the ladies favorite man during your time in the university. Or you think I and your father wouldn't come to know the truth?

Mum, Dad be calming down. I said I was going to go for my Masters after NYSC (National Youth Service Corp) which is the best thing for me to do since it's just twelve months, one year Mami. Kilode (what is it again).

Don't forget I'm showing love to my father land in turn I get paid to serve. Please let me think. This thinking will be done for the whole of Youth Service and I'll get back to you concerning my masters program. Settling down with your responsible Yoruba daughter in-law, we shall see.

Fine, son. Do what you must. While we wait for your return. When are going to camp?
This Friday Mum, four days from now. I have gotten my list, Medical fitness certificate and call up letter.

All I need is to go shopping for the few things I need while camping. I heard it gets very cold at night and the early hours of the morning. Soldiers won't be so generous with their time so I need to be prepared for them and their scheme.

That's great to hear son. We are proud of you and wish you the best in your endeavors at camp. I only hope you stay out of trouble and be safe.

Remember, you are our only son and we would do anything for you to reach your desired goals in life. We love you son don't you ever forget that.

Awwn is my Mum and Dad getting emotional. ahh! I never knew it could possible for Nigerian parents to actually love their children enough to the extent of saying it out loud. No be small thing o (it's not a small thing).

I see you're enjoying the moment. Savor it while it lasts. You might not get this for a long, long, long time. Come here son, we love you.

They smile and give him a heart throbbing, warming, unforgettable hug. He relishes in the fragrance of his parents love and compassion.

Meanwhile, Nelo, Oby and Orjiugo are wishing for the school management to change their Mathematics teacher. because the woman rushes them too much and doesn't have time to answer their questions.

Rather, she turns their questions into assignments and tests. What kind of woman is this they ask. Nne eh, I don't understand at all. Later she will be the one saying, we don't ask questions during and after classes. How can we, when she turns it against us.

My final answer is this, we need a new teacher period! Nelo you are a good magician how did you know what we were saying since.

Mathematics was my favourite subject in primary school. We can't say the same now. What a waste of space and energy. I'm beefing this Mrs Idia Johnson forevermore.

Come to think of it Nelo, since you know maths more than us, you'll coach us during sleep over today.  I'll teach Literature and Ugo Economics.

My head is paining me let's just finish this equation and go home. Thank God it's remaining thirty minutes for them to ring the bell. I don't know how much of this extra lessons we can take with a weird teacher. It's not only you I'm sure the entire Art class feels the same way.

The bell has gone wild. The junior students seem more elated to go home than the seniors. Meanwhile, when it comes to dealing with emotions the reverse is the case. Seniors can't wait to graduate, Juniors can't wait to be seniors.

In about twenty minutes the school was clear. Teachers had zoomed off in their cars. Till they meet again tomorrow morning.
