'Favourite colour?!'
'A lighter shade of azure, I guess... Maybe baby blue? How 'bout yours?'
'That's easy, I love green! The deep forest kind of green though, not the bright kind. But I also like red, maybe, oxblood or a darker shade of red, velvet even. Goes well with my eyes I've been told,' Louis blathers.
'Blue and green go pretty well together.' Harry presses his body against Louis', he can't help himself. The skin on skin sensation is insanely addictive; it makes Harry's belly flutter with butterflies, and his soul sing. And while he is getting deeper emotionally involved with Louis, it brings Harry to a new mental high; there is nothing like it, and the feeling is by far his new drug of choice.
'Lucky number?'
'28,' Louis states without hesitation. 'All time fav song?' Louis playfully counterstrikes. 'Think hard and deep before you answer this one, it's kind of a big deal, you know.' Louis squeezes Harry's thigh.
Harry grins. 'I don't have to think, not even for a second, it's Sledgehammer. When I was still working, back in the city, I'd set it as my alarm ringtone. I find it motivating, to wake up to an upbeat song. I used to be very active in the mornings, which might seem a little hard to believe now.' Harry stretches his long legs even longer, toes peeping from under the duvet at the end of the bed.
'Ooof, 's cold.''Nice one.' Louis grins. 'You've passed the test glorisously.'
'Thank God,' Harry dramatically sighs. 'You had me scared there for a minute.' He rapidly pulls in his feet underneath the duvet, sticking them between Louis'.
'Hey! Talkin' about cold,' Louis whines.
'Oh, stop your cyring Lou.' Harry hides his face in Louis' neck, planting a soft kiss on his warm skin.
'Ok, I got one; what is the best flavour you've ever tasted?''Uh...' Louis raises his eyes. 'I like salt and vinegar? Crisps? Or maybe...' His voice softens. 'Or maybe the taste on your lips...'
Harry places his hand in Louis' neck, pushes himself up on his elbow and kisses Louis, before dropping back into the mattress.
'Mmm,' he hums while licking his own.
'I see what you mean. Pretty tasty, if I may say so myself.'The confinement of the blizzard he had feared beforehand, has now become Harry's new best friend; the winter had chased Louis down to his doorstep, into his cabin and finally into his arms. And armored with the warmest of clothing Harry has turned the outside frost from master into servant; the cold can only come as far as the window pane now, inside they have the fire and each other to keep them cozy warm.
'Your.... Favourite... Fruit!' Louis continues his gamesome interrogations.
'Hmm.. I like all kinds, maybe kiwi. No wait!' Harry exclaims. 'Definitely banana.'
Louis giggles. 'I wonder why that is...'
'Get your mind out of the gutter Lou,' Harry chuckles.
'Okay, okay, I have a good one! Bucketlist top entry.' Louis turns his head sideways trying to meet Harry's eyes.
'You already know the answer to that one, love.'
'Tell me anyways, I love listening to your voice.'
'Okay. At the moment it's finishing my novel... And when I'm done... I'll probably... Find myself another goal, as I always do. So tell me yours.'
Harry squeezes his arms even tighter around Louis' torso, underneath the duvet, feet still touching, legs entwined, his breath brushing Louis' cheek with every word he speaks.
