"...but so do bad things too..." Aurora smiled at her wife. Olivia sighed and brushed her brown hair. They both sat on their bed in front of the mirror in their bedroom. "You are right" Olivia said and suddenly stoop up. "I... I just hope our baby is going to be fine"
Aurora stayed silent and looked at the baby crib Olivia prepared for their child.
"Don't worry we will be together when she is born. You may not be immortal like me but..." Aurora laughed and scratched her head. "Aurora." Olivia said sternly and looked straight at her deep violet eyes. "I know that you're sad" Aurora closed her eyes and whispered, "I mean. It's your decision."
Olivia sighed and placed a kiss on her forehead. "And I don't regret this decision."
"I just... don't really unterstand why you choose against immortality." Aurora admitted and pulled her legs up to her chest. She hid her face behind her knees and didn't dare to look at Olivia.
"Well... you said it yourself. All good things end... eventually."
Aurora didn't answer her.
"I... I would love to spend a eternity with you, my beloved. But I have felt the pain you endured your entire life being immortal. You are so powerful, Aurora. I really respect you and your strength to find the light in the dark." Olivia paused and sat besides Aurora. "I don't want to endure the pain of losing all my mortal friends. I'm probably being selfish. I'm so sorry... I-" She sniffed.
"I unterstand you" Aurora said and placed her hand on Olivia's hand. "Sometimes I wish not to be a goddess. Sometimes I wish to be a mortal being like you... but-"
Olivia  entangled her fingers with Aurora's.
"I know the reason why you wouldn't to it... even if you had the chance to."
Olivia looked at one of the many photoframes hanging on the wall. It showed Aurora with all of her friends. "You just couldn't abandon them."
Aurora layed her head on Olivia's shoulder and whispered,
"We have to accept that changes will happen and that all good things must come to an end. I know this as the goddess of changes"
