Chapter 6: First Time for Everything

I walk into my room in the night court, my stomach till fluttering from my interaction with Nyx. I take a second to admire my room in the Night Court. My walls are a dark blue with gold accents, and I love it. I always feel so at home here. Everything is always so calm and beautiful.

I walk over to my full length mirror and brush out my hair. I slip off my shoes and sigh with relief. As much as I love dressing up, I hate the pain of wearing heels. I start to take of my jewelry but stop when I reach my hands. A smile forms on my lips as I looks at the blue and gold ring Nyx gave me at Starfall this year. It was only two months after we had figured out we were mates and he gave it to me as a promise the always be there for me, romantically, or as a friend. I have never taken this ring off, not even in battle, because the ring always fills me up with warmth and light.

I am taking off my last bracelet when I feel a familiar presence and my body heats up. Two large hands gently grab my waist and his intoxicating scent fills my nose. My skin is buzzing and I can feel is warm breath against my neck. I relax and rest knowing its Nyx and lean my head back against him. I close my eyes, savoring the feeling of him being with me. Nyx sways a bit with me in this arms before whispering in my ear.

"You really did look absolutely stunning tonight." My stomach fills with butterflies and his thumbs started rubbing slow circles on my exposed upper thigh.

"Hmmm I didn't thing you noticed. " I can feel Nyx's chest rumble against my back. At this point my body is burning.

"Notice?.. Evalin I could not stop thinking about you. You are intoxicating" Nyx lightly peppers small kisses down my neck and over my shoulder. His hand travel up and down my exposed legs and my waist. I know that I have lost so I give in and let him do whatever he wants with me.

"Turn around, let me look at you" I slowly turn around to face him, suddenly really nervous.

Nyx is looking down at me with his beautiful eyes. His eyes scan over my entire face, taking it in like he will never see it again. My whole face is on fire and I have to look down at my feet to escape the burning feeling of his eyes on me. I feel so self conscious around him. Nyx seems to understand this and take his hand to gently lift up my face to meet his. Nyx smiles softly at me.

"You are so beautiful. Not even the stars in Velaris' sky can match your beauty." I look into Nyx's eyes and feel so safe, so loved.

I reach my hand up to cup Nyx's cheek and he leans into my touch. Slowly, I lean forward and place a singular kiss on his lips. The kiss is slow and sensual. I feel like i'm floating and I never want to come down. Nyx pulls away and hold my face in his hands

"I have been wanting to do that since the day we met." Nyx whispers as our noses press together.

I can't wait any longer. I smash my lips into Nyx's and soak him in. This kiss is nothing like the first. It fast and hungry. It is full of desire and need. Nyx moves his hands down my body and grabs my ass. I wrap my arms around his neck and lightly pull at the hair there. Nyx sighs and suddenly grabs my hips.

"Jump"

I immediately obey and lock my legs around his waist as he hold me thighs. We continue to kiss and he walks me towards my bed. Everything is tingling and I can't think straight. Nyx lowers me ever so gently in my bed and gets on top of me.

Nyx kisses up and down my body, lets his hands roam where they wanted to. He travels back up my body and kisses all over my neck and I sigh out. Nyx reaches his hands up to slide the material of my dress of my body and I tense up suddenly nervous. What if i do this all wrong. Nyx pulls away and i have to fight myself not to pull him back down.

"Evalin, if we do this there is no going back, we will be connected forever. Are you sure you are ok with that." I frantically nod my head.

"Nyx I have wanted to be yours since the moment our eyes locked with each other and I could feel out connection. I can feel how we are meant to be together. You were made to love me and I you, please Nyx. I want to be your for the rest of our lives, please. I want you with all of my heart, so if you want my, then please take me." Nyx's eyes soften and the most beautiful smile is plastered on his face.

"Evalin, I want this more than anything in the world, I love you." My breath catches in my throat and I have never been more happy.

"Nyx, i'm yours."

I open my eyes and the sun shines through my open window. I feel so alive in this moment, like everything has fallen into place.

Nyx's arm is wrapped around me and I can feel his hot breath against my neck. Everything in me is alight and feels so sensitive. My is pressed against Nyx's back. I can feel him breath and I close my eyes, taking in this amazing feeling.

"Good morning my love." Nyx whispered in my ear with his voice. His groggy morning fills my ears like music and warms my insides.

I turn to face Nyx. His black hair is tousled and his has a cheeky grin on his face. His eyes stare softly into mine and I melt into his touch. Nyx pulls me against his chest and I breathe in his scent. He smells like home.

"Evalin, how are you feeling." The sound of my name on the lips sends sparks through me.

"I feel like my life finally makes sense, I feel happier then I have ever been." I can feel Nyx smile against my head and look up into his eyes.

"Kiss me again."

Nyx and I have been in bed for five days now, doing nothing but holding each other and making love.

"Nyx, we should probably try and leave the room." Nyx groans in response.

Nyx currently has his head nestled into the space between my shoulder and my neck. I can feel every breath he takes on my neck and my skin tingles. I twirl his black hair between my fingers.

"But I'm so happy here, I never want to leave." I giggle try push Nyx off of me.

Nyx groans in frustration but allows me to push him off of me. I look up at him and can't believe he is mine. Nyx Moonstar is mine, and I am his.

"Ok, let's get ready to see everyone." I smile and kiss his cheek before leaping out of bed.

I stretch my arms while standing in the sunlight that is peaking through the windows. I look over and see Nyx make his way to the bathroom. He is so beautiful. Nyx is only wearing pants and I can see the way his back muscles flex as he stretches and walks.

I turn around and focus on getting ready myself, but I hear the shower turn on and I can't help it. I smile and make my way over to the bathroom. I open the door and come up behind Nyx, wrapping my hands around his waist.

Maybe we could do it just once more before seeing his family.
