Twenty minutes had passed and Monica was already sleepy, something about water thrown on your face just did something.
She sat on the sofa watching the walls waiting for something to happen.

"So boring!" She slammed her face in a pillow.
"When is he going to get here?" She thought. She changed and cleared the living room so they could do their work.
She got up, stepping on a cheese puff. She continued, lazily running into the kitchen.
She went through the silver ware drawer, poking her fingers on the forks for amusement.
Her phone was beside her in  a bowl of rice, after it got wet in the pervious incident.

"Jeremy!" She called.
She repeated herself until she heard loud snores coming from his bedroom.

Reaching into the cabnet, she pulled out a fresh box of "Cheerios" and messily poured milk into a bowl.
She poured the cereal in the bowl.
Crazy right, why would you put the milk before the good stuff!- Evan

She shoved the cereal in her mouth and slowly chewed it.
"Welcome back Monica" Her phone turned on, repeating the welcome message.

She looked over, frowning her face and pulling out her hand.
   "It's so far" She sighed.

 She eventually retrieved her phone.
   "Good-"
Milk poured onto the table and Monica realized she knocked over her cereal.
"It will clean later" She sighed, turning towards her phone.

She looked through her unread messages and got one from Evan.

"Hey, I need your address so I can come over- Evan"

We squinted her eyes, "Why does he put his initials after a message?"
She eyerolled.

Monica cracked her knuckles and quickly typed her address.

"I should go make another bowl" She sent the message and went back into the cabnet

"on my way"- (Evan)

He opened his phone, seeing the text message from Monica.
He gripped onto his bag, "Okay let's go" He murmured.

Running down the flight of stairs, he slowly walked downstairs.
"Bye mom!" He shouted.
His mom ignored him mainly cause she was invested in the new episode of "Real Housewives Of California"

He stood waiting for an answer, "Bye mom!" He repeated again.

He waved at him, still eyeing the television saying,
"Enjoy summer camp"

Evan sighed, he walked out slowly shutting the door.

He walked for a solid ten minutes until, Monica called him.

"Monica, I'm almost there don't worry" he sighed
Evan walked on the crunchy gravel, slowly strolling to Monica's house.
"Just hurry up!! I want to finish this stupid assignment" She shouted into the phone.
"Jeez, so demanding!" He briefly pondered. As quickly reached into his book bag and got a fresh bottle of water.
"I'm going to go for now Evan, I'll see you soon" Monica cheerfully stated.
"B-bye?" He hung up the phone.

He uncapped the bottle and paused and took a tiny sip.

"Geez, the sun is hot" He shaded himself.

He walked into Ellis street and walked onto Monica's front lawn.
It was the first house on the street so, it was easy to find.

"What was that noise?" He heard a strange noise below him.

He stepped on a red plastic cup siting on the concrete path to the front door. Likewise, he gazed at the lawn, noticing the piles are plastic plates and confetti lying on the cold grass. Monica's pitbull was tied to the fence with a party hat stuck onto his head and was in one of those tight dog outfits.

"Did a tornado happen?" He questioned as he paused in shook.

Evan walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell.

"Coming!" Monica yelled from the living room.
She jumped over the chairs and accidentally tripped over on the rug.

Evan stood at the door, hearing the loud thump.
"Are you okay?" He mumbled.

Monica opened the wooden door as it made an eerie squeaking sound.
She used her hands and brushed her strawberry blond here to the side.

"H-hey Evan..." She nervously answered as a smiled widened on her freckly face.
She gestured him to walk inside, and she used her right foot to fix the grimy welcome mat siting on the porch.

Evan wandered in, throwing his shoes in a corner.

"Was there a party here earlier?" He queried

Monica shut the door and putting down the dusty blinds.

She cleared his throat, "Jeremy, came home this week, and he brought his schoolfriends"
Monica looked away nervously, "Let's just say, that lawn need to be cleaned before my mom gets home"

She snatched her study books from the book shelve and kicked her bag into the storage closet.

"Okay, we have a science thing in a week?" She asked.

Monica tends to forget stuff she isn't interested in, like that one week she forgot her brother was home, so she kept a yard sale selling his clothes.

"It's due tomorrow" Evan exclaimed, rolling his eyes.

"Well what are we waiting for?" She shouted.

As her eyes broadened, she gripped onto Evan's hand and rushed into the living room.

"I can walk" Evan maffled.

Monica forcefully pushed Evan onto the sofa and pushed the stale cheese puffs off the mahogany coffee table. The artificial dye from the puff stained the fur rug.
She brought the table closer to the sofa and threw her books down.

"Let's begin" She calmly declared as he kicked a coke can under the chair.

Evan opened his text book and rubbed his eyes,

"So, did you do your part of the work?" Evan catechized while uncapping a new blue ink pen.
"So..." He added.

"What part?" Monica confusingly answered while scratching her hair. She fixed her, "I Love NYC" jersey and waited.

"I texted you earlier after school like an hour before I got here, to do your part in the project"
He stated.

Evan breathed in anger, "Can I be excused?" He politely asked.

"Sure?" Monica replied.

Evan raised up and dashed to the bathroom, leaving his book wide open.
Monica reached open and looked through his notebook,
"Last week's homework?" She happily noticed

"Score!" She screamed.
Pulling out her pencil, she copied his work looking back and forth to see if Evan was coming back.
