Maya's POV
"Psst Lucas" I whispered
"What" he said
"Can I borrow a pencil?" I asked
"Maya u never take any notes" he whispered as he handed me the pencil
"Not to learn idiot, to sketch" I said as I took the pencil from his hand
When we touched felt a weird feeling. Something I felt with my x boyfriends, but better.
"Maya, please try to learn something" he begged
"No, I don't wa-" I was interrupted by the teacher
"Maya, Lucas this is the first day and u too are already talking? I've heard about u to, but i didn't expect this." she said looking at us
She's heard about us?
"Sorry ma'am it won't happen again" Lucas said, using his southern charm
"I hope so" the teacher said

"Riley!" I shouted
"Maya!" She shouted
We ran to each other and hugged for like five minutes until the boys came.
"Wow. Its been one day of school and u two just can't LIVE without each other" Farkle mocked
"Actually we can't" Riley said and smiled at me
"Yea, and we have like no classes together, so of course we needed and extra long hug." I stated
"Ok whatever u guys say" Lucas said and laughed a little with Farkle
"Oh and I hope u enjoyed ur stupid book cowboy, I felt like I was going to DIE earlier" I said and riley giggled because I was being so dramatic
"Actually I did ma'am thank u very much for helping me" Lucas said tipping his imaginary hat
"Ugh! Why can't I get to u!" I said throwing my arms up in the air with frustration
They all laughed as we walked out of school together.

~At Riley's apartment the next day after school; Riley, Lucas, Farkle, and Maya~
"Riley!" I yelled from the couch
"What?" She yelled from the kitchen
"Grab me a soda!" I yelled
"What's the magic word?" She said
"Please!" I yelled
"Wow u got Maya to use her manners" Lucas said
"Yea well, I am her best friend" Riley said handing me the soda
"Yea, well how come I don't rub off on her?" Farkle asked
"U have, u taught her how to flirt" Riley said
"Really?" Farkle said said fake gasping
"Yea I mean Maya's had like thirty boyfriends" riley said sitting next to me
"Have not" I said
"Have so" she said
"Really? Name ten." I said thinking she couldn't do it
"Easy. Gabe, Jake, Matthew, Andrew, Jacob, Mark, James, Mikey, Brandon, and Caleb." Riley said without any hesitation whatsoever
"U remember all of them?" I asked touched that she even cared that much
"Of course, Maya ur my best friend" she said
"Awwwwww" We all said as riley and I hugged
"Well it looks like Maya's a player" Lucas said
"Am not!" I said
"R to!"
"Am not!"
"R to!"
"I am not, they were just all jerks!" I stated
"Yea that's true, I remember Gabe cheated on a week after u started dating" Riley said
"Yea and Jacob dumped me then we got back together until I dumped for being a jerk" I said
"I didn't know Maya dates jerks, I would've started being one a long time ago" Farkle said
We all laughed except for Lucas.
"Cowboy u ok?" I asked
"What? Oh yea I just can't believe u dated that many boys before" he said kinda upset
"Yeah, well I never really like any of them anyway, they were all stupid" I said
"True that" riley said and we giggled together
The rest of the night we talked and hung out until the boys had to leave. I stayed over at Riley's as usual.
Why do u think Lucas was upset that Maya had so many boyfriends before?
