Kirishima's POV
"Hey," I smiled as I pulled away.

"Hey, Red." I could hear the smile in his voice which made me smile even wider. He paused for a second. I couldn't see where he was looking, but I could definitely feel his intense gaze on my body.

"What?"

"You look..." his hand rubbed the back of his neck. The tips of his ears turned a pink hue. If only he didn't have to wear a mask, I'd be able to tell what he was thinking. Sometimes his expressions were easy to read... key word 'sometimes'.

"Good?"

"Good's an understatement," he said quietly, but loud enough for me to hear. I smiled brightly at his words then playfully gasped.

"Did I just get complimented by the Katsuki Bakugou?" He chuckled under his breathe as he turned and opened the passenger side door and beckoned me in with his hand. "You're so manly," I thought out loud. I got in and he closed the door behind me then walked over to the driver's side and got in.

He pulled down his face mask and took off the sunglasses before starting the car and pulling out of the parking lot. He put the directions to the restaurant in his iPhone gps and started heading that way. Music quietly played, serving as nice background noise.

I studied his face while his mask was off. I noticed that there were faint bags under his eyes. How many sleepless nights have there been for him? How hard has he been pushing himself? Was it because of me?

Even though I had questions, we didn't say much in the car. However, it was a comfortable quiet just between the two of us. He had his hand on my thigh, his thumb gently rubbing back and forth. It was an action so simple, yet it made my heart flutter like crazy.

When we finally got to the restaurant, we were seated in one of the private VIP rooms per Katsuki's request. The waitress took our orders and left the room quickly. I could tell that she was wondering who exactly was sitting in front of me, but she kept it professional.

Katsuki had taken off the sunglasses and face mask again and put them off to the side. We made small talk until the waitress came back with our food.

When the waitress came in, she immediately paused, her face becoming noticeably red. She quickly put our plates down, did a slight bow, and shuffled out the room.

"I think she recognized you," I teased. He looked at me with a smirk, but also like he was mentally saying 'no shit'. How does he make my heart beat so fast without even trying? I wonder if I have the same effect on him.

"How've you been?" He asked while taking a bite of his food.

"Good. A bit lonely actually, but I brought that on myself. Nothing to stress about." I paused in between so I could eat some of my food. "What about you?"

"Working. In the studio, modeling, interviews."

"Did you sleep at all?" I asked as I remembered the bags under his eyes. I guess he could sense my worry because he quickly avoided eye contact when he answered.

"No, not really..."

"... Is it because of me?" The air suddenly thickened.
