It has been around 8 months since Hailey joined intelligence she was still getting used to her new family her and Jay were really close and opened up about everything to each other.

SV: We have a case 16 year old girl raped and killed in humble park, Jay Hailey go see if u can get a statement from the woman that found her

J&H: Yes Sarge

*Jay hands Hailey her jacket*

*at humble park*

J: Ma'am are you the one that found Olivia Murphy

W: Yes Detective!

H: Ok we need to take a statement if that's ok?

W: Yes of course!

*Back at the district*

*Jay and Hailey walk back into the bullpen*

SV: Got a statement?

H: Yes Sarge

SV: Good, you two can head off now we will carry this on in the morning.

J&H: Night Sarge!

SV: Night kiddos!

*The next morning the whole unit apart from Jay are at the bullpen already*

Kim: Where's Jay?

H: Getting coffee probably!

Kev: "habit"

*Hailey chuckles to herself*

-Jays pov-

I was getting coffee for me and Hailey like I do every morning, When I walked out I took A sip of my coffee and went to hop in my truck and then I blacked out.

-General pov-

*Trudy walks upstairs*

T: Where's Chuckles?

H: I don't know he should be here y now

SV: Ping his phone!

Kev: On it Sarge!

*They ping Jay's phone and it say's he's still at the coffee shop*

SV: Upton Atwater go down there and check it out!

-Jays pov-

I wake up in what seems like the back of a van, I have zip ties around my ankles and my wrists are chained to the side of the van.

RG: Look who's awake its pretty boy Halstead!

J: who are you and what do you want with me?

RG: what do we want from you? Hmm let me think you're going to make a call or this will go through that thick skull of yours -The random guy pulls a 9mm from his waistband-

J: Kidnapping a cop that's attempted murder!

RG: What's that Sarge of yours number so we can make a deal 175k for u back no harm done!

J: Give me the damn phone and get these chains of me!

RG: Fiesty I like it!

*Jay gives them the number*

-Atwater and Upton arrive at the coffee shop and sees jays truck w two coffees next to it spilled and his phone-

H: No NO No this can't happen

Kev: -in his radio- Sarge Jay's been kidnapped

SV: Ok come back here were going to get him back

*at the district*

SV: EVERYONE LISTEN UP WERE HANDING THIS CASE OVER JAY'S BEEN KIDNAPPED!

-Voight's phone starts ringing-

SV: Sargent Voight!

RG: Hello Sarge I have your feisty pretty boy and in order for him back I need 175k you have 2 hours or first a bullet in the leg, then shoulder, then stomach then the head you have 6 hours or he's dead!

SV: you harm him u will feel a lot worse pain when I get my hands on you.

RG: 1h 58m I would hurry

SV: where will we meet?

RG: Ill call in a hour and a half if u have the money ill tell you

-the call ends-

SV: Mouse did you get a ping?
