Chapter 1

Leaving School

"Bye Maya." I said in a calm voice.
"Bye Nat." She said annoyed.

As I got in my car I was feeling a little sad, of course it had to do with the fact that Conner broke up with me but honestly I should be used to it. To think Jason broke up with me, Landon broke up with me, Fin broke up with me, and Conner. I should be used to it by now.

I turned the knob so I could listen to the radio, right when the radio turned on I heard this song called 'Make Believe' I liked it because the lyrics kind of resembled to my problems with boys. It also made me think that's maybe how my ex boyfriends saw me as.

For some reason the song made me want to write music myself, I had already wrote music before but I gave up after my second heartbreak.

"Hmmm." I say thinking of what to do. "Maybe I could right a song." "Eh that wouldn't work....or would it"

I quickly called Jack and asked if he could help me. "Hey Jack can you come over? I think I want to get back into song writing." I asked nicely. "Oh of course! See you soon." He said happily. That was strange to me because he's never that happy to come over or talk to me.

"Hey Jack!" I said happily. "Hey Nat!" He said exited and gave me a big hug.
I was kind of surprised that he called me Nat because only my close friends call me that. 

"So what are we working with?" He asked. "Well I was thinking of something the people can connect to." "Let's come up with the title first." Said Jack in a calm voice. "Maybe we could do 'Love'." I said. "We?" Asked Jack.
I could tell I messed up so I tried to fix it.
"I mean I.." "It's okay Nat no harm done. I was just joking around with you anyway." He chuckled.
I couldn't tell if he was trying to flirt with me or what but I thought it was kind of cute. "Haha" I chuckled to.

I didn't know if there was a connection between me and Jack but I really hoped there was.

The next day at school kind of sucked because Conner was yelling at me all day until Jack came and helped me. "Ugh! Where's my homework brat?" Conner yelled.
"I don't know.." I said scared. "Find it now!" He  yelled desperately. "Okay okay I'm sorry!" I said panicking. "I'm sorry but I can't find it..." I said nervously. "What!?" He yelled. I could see him raising his hand ready to smack me so I shut my eyes, all of the sudden I looked up because nothing hit me. It was Jack, he blocked  Conners hand from hitting my face so it hit him instead. I felt bad because Jack was hurt but I was still thankful that I wasn't smacked.
"Ugh!" Conner snotted and walked away.
"Thank you Jack!" I said thankfully. "Your welcome Natalia." He smiled and looked at me, I was nervous because of how he was  looking at me. All of the sudden he came closer and kissed me on the forehead. He could tell I liked it so he gave me a big hug and he wouldn't let go until the bell rang.
