"This is the first real 'meal' I've had in like 2 weeks. Thank you," Devon said in between bites of her burrito.
"Of course, of course," Tommy replied. "Nice nap?"
"Yeah," she took another bite. "I feel so much better than I did 3 hours ago. Thank you again."
"Stop thanking me and eat," Tommy sassed. They both finished their food and continued to sip on their drinks, just talking and catching up on each other's lives over the past few weeks since they saw each other. One certain question seemed to make Devon's head spin.
"How are things with you and Sapnap?" Tommy questioned.
"What do you mean? We're just friends," Devon tried to convince her brother.
"Just friends my ass," he scoffed. "You're wearing his hoodie, he sent you flowers, and he texted me right away when I tweeted saying you were ok."
"You tweeted about me?" Devon tried changing the subject from her and Nick's relationship.
"When you called I was streaming and they heard, I ended it right away obviously and had to tweet out saying I won't be active all weekend because I'm up here with you," her brother clarified. "My fans got a hashtag trending and everything."
"A hashtag just for me having a breakdown?" she asked. "Maybe I start giving out my socials and become famous too."
"When you come home you can plug everything on one of my streams," Tommy joked. "But seriously, what is going on between you two?"
"I'm not really sure to be honest," Devon answered, shrugging her shoulders. "We text and call all the time, but he lives in America. I can't do that. After getting cheated on and lied to for almost a year, I don't know if I'm ready to try long distance."
"So you like him?" he asked.
"How dumb are you?" she questioned. "Yes dumbass, I do, ok? Please don't say anything to anyone, especially him, I don't want to stop talking to him."
"I won't don't worry," he reassured. "But maybe you guys should talk about it. Summer is coming up, have you heard about your visa?"
"I haven't checked in a few days," Devon stood up and walked over to her desk, opening her computer and going to her email. She gasped and slapped a hand over her mouth. "I HAVE MY VISA! I CAN GO TO AMERICA OH MY GOD TOM THIS IS GREAT!"
"Dev that's great!" Tommy congratulated, jumping off of the spare bed and giving his sister a hug. "Call Sapnap and tell him! He wanted me to have you call him anyway."
"Why didn't you tell me when you first got here?" she asked.
"You are grumpy when you first wake up, needed to get the food in you," he laughed. "Now call your boyfriend, I need to go to the bathroom anyway. Maybe I'll get some girls."
"Fuck off," Devon flipped her brother off as he left the room. She jumped onto her bed and grabbed her phone, frantically facetiming Nick.
Nick heard his phone buzzing and saw that Devon was facetiming him. "One minute guys, I'm getting a phone call," he told his stream, muting his mic and turning off the face cam.
"NICK I GOT MY VISA!" Devon screamed the second he answered. "I CAN COME TO AMERICA!"
"Dev oh my god! That's great," Nick beamed.
"I know, I'm so excited!" she giggled. "So, what are you up to?"
"I'm streaming right now actually," he scratched the back of his neck.
"Oh, shit I'm sorry," Devon apologized. "Call me later, I'll explain what happened earlier. Tom told me you were worried."
"Oh whatever, sorry for caring," Nick rolled his eyes. "Before you go, want to say hi to the stream and the guys?"
