Close your eyes, and open your mind. Let it imagine a black hole, no stars, no people, and no light. Now imagine you get put into a space suit and set off into the darkness, with one tank of oxygen. At first you're connected to the ship, but then you start to drift, and the cord connecting you to the ship starts to break. Nobody notices, and it finally snaps. You're filled with fear, curiosity, worry, and a bit of confusion. At first it's not bad, you can just try and float back maybe. But then you start getting sucked into the darkness of the collapsed star. You begin to panic, and the more you struggle the more you get pulled in. So you stop struggling, and you just start to accept it, you accept the fate you where handed. Then you realize it's hard to breathe, it's getting harder and harder, and you panic. You become scared of death, and what your fate has become, you try to call out for help but it's hard to with so little air. You try to scream but the air has run out, you're slowly suffocating, you feel your lungs gasp for air. It's the hardest thing you ever do but when you finally press the emergency button it's sometimes too late.
This is what depression feels like. And sometimes, it is too late to save yourself, so let others see, let others help, they'll help save you.
