Aelin~

Lysandra and I were just finishing up for the day when a young man ran into the room I looked at the clock and we still had time so I said "Hi I'm Queen Aelin how can I help you today?" I kept my head down and I felt bad for not looking at him but I was so tired.

"Two years ago I was locked up and separated from the girl I love I know that this isn't exactly related to the war but I just want to see her again. When I'm with her it feels like magic she's the only one who ever really understood me. We honestly hated each other at first but then we wrecked some ships together and the rest is kind of history" he said

It sounded all to familiar and suddenly I was back in time to where I was care free and wrecking my own ships with the man I used to love.

Then I glanced up and realized I had left the boy sitting there "Whats the girls name" I asked trying to sound polite.

"Her name is Celeana Sardorthian I know its kind of weir-" he started to say but Lys was already up and out of her chair.

Sam~

I came in just in time.

Queen Aelin seemed to be trying her best to pay attention to me but she seemed exhausted, I imagine that I would be tired too if I had to run a kingdom at such a young age I mean she could't have been more that 20!

"Hi I'm Queen Aelin how can I help you today" she asked in a strained cherry voice.

I told her all about my Ce and how I felt to be around her the queens face seemed to drop a little as if she was recalling a memory when I mentioned how we destroyed the Pirate Lords ships.

I stood there for a moment before she seemed to remember that I was still there.

"Whats the girls name" she asks.

"Celeana Sardorthian" I say with a smile on my face, neither of them move "I know its kind of weird to date an assassin" I try to say but the other woman in the room is already holding a dagger to my neck.

"I promise she's not dangerous" I say trying to reason with her.

"Celeana Sardorthian had only two lovers that are still alive and if your claiming to be either King Dorian or Chaol your not fooling anyone" she hissed.

"What do you mean I'm not trying to be King Dorian or Chaol my name is Sam Cortland" I tell her.

"Sam Cortland died a long time ago" she forces out turning to look me in the eyes.

I finally get a good look at her she has more scars and a much fiercer gaze but her eyes are still the same bright green that there were when I last saw her.

"Lys" I whisper.

Lysandra looks taken aback for a minute but quickly regains her steely composer "I can see you've done your research on us but it won't work the person you trying to impersonate is dead!" she yells.

"Please trust me ask me anything, something only I would know." I beg her.

"Fine" she says with a smile on her face like she thinks she's about to catch me in the act of lying to her.

"What was Celeana's favorite dessert" Lysandra asks.

"Chocolate cake" I say with out hesitation.

"Fine maybe that was too easy what did you tell her to help her get though tough times" she questions.

"I said my name is Sam Cortland and I will not be afraid".

Lysandra pulls me into a hug and whispers "It really is you!".

"I'll be back in a minute and you better be ready to tell me exactly how your standing here when you're supposed to be dead."

Then she walks over to the Queen and whispers something in her ear, suddenly her whole body tenses up and she sprints out the room Lysandra is not far behind her yelling for her to wait.

Until next time peace out!
