Two figures sat back to back in a small vacant room. Well, one was to say the least. One of the pair was awkwardly taller than the other that he had to make sure he wouldn't crush the smaller being behind him. The taller one was staring at a wall while the other was busy giving her attention to the suddenly interesting floor. It was silent, save for the silent murmurs going on outside of the room.
The room had no furnishing and boring, dull walls. It was a canvas waiting to be painted (or decorated).

"So the big move is in a few days. Are you excited?" The Mysterious Man From the Wall asked the child, breaking the silence. There was a slight pause, then the girl with the curly hair craned her head to look up at him.

"W-well, I'll have ro-room to play with uhm... t-toys now," she replied back and blinked a couple of times. She turned her head back down and went back to what she was doing before.

The Mysterious Man From the Wall felt a small smile tug as his lips. He won't be alone anymore. He had waited for this day to come. 8 long, cold and lonely months. His smile dissappeared at the reminder of his enduring pain of seclusion.

"That sounds delightful...how was school today?" the blond man asked. There was another pause before the child finally spoke.

"It was fun," she simply said, nodding at her excellent answer and then craned her neck back to the floor. She was playing with a collection of dolls, but she was actually bored.
"Oh...just fun?" the man inquired with a curious tone to his voice. Brittany stopped playing with her doll and felt a smile spread on her lips. The brunette turned around and faced the back of The Mysterious Man From the Wall. She soon found herself staring into bright blue eyes and saw a smile start to take shape on his lips.
"Oh there was a-a lot of fun! There-there was ponies at the school and...and rabbits and bu-bunnies!" she exclaimed with her childish voice.

"Rabbits and bunnies? Wow! And what did you do that was fun with the rabbits and bunnies?"

"I-I fed them and I got to pet them! I also got on the pony and went everywhere with it and saw a u-unicorn too! There was even a wolf... a wolf that tried to ea-eat the-the unicorn..." Britt had to pause midsentance to take in air since she was talking so much.
"Oh no a wolf?! And what happened?"
her only audience member was interested in the story. He was noting the little girl's stuttering problem which made him worry. He knew that it was normal for a three year old to stutter, so he hoped that it would go away as she grew up. But other than taking note on the speech impediment, the two continued to talk. At one point, The Mysterious Man From the Wall noticed that Brittany didn't mention a single being, besides the princess at the ice palace she mentioned on her one of many adventures at preschool.

"Did you go with friends?" he asked and looked at her carefully.
"Of course! The p-pony and rabbits and bunnies and the uni-unicorn and the dol-dolphins and m-monkeys and bears and the-"
"Not the animals sweetheart...was there another girl or boy who joined you on your adventures?"

This time, there was a very long silence. The girl frowned and seeing this made the blond feel sad. He watched her carefully as she slowly shook her head.

"Do you have any friends? Besides the rabbits and unicorn," he asked after a while. Again, Britt shook her head no after a while. She had a sudden poker face, he had no idea how she was able to use one since she was so young, but one look in the eyes told everything what she felt. There was a curiosity, but mostly loneliness and sadness could be seen. This pained his heart because he understood what it was like being alone.

"How about I'll be your friend?" he asked and gave her a smile. Britt's eyes widened and her mouth made a little o. She was shocked at such an offer and she felt her head bobbing up and down frantically.

"Great! Now we can go on adventures together and explore!" he gave her an encouraging bright smile which made her giggle and show her brilliant smile.

Friendship sounded perfect to the little three year old girl and she was in store for more friendships to come.
