George and Dream drifted off to sleep. George thought that when Dream said he loved him that it was in a friendly way but it wasn't. George woke up to the warm scent of cinnamon, that's what Dream smelled like. He smelled like cinnamon. He loved it, the smell was so comforting to him. Dream opened his eyes, seeing George already awake. George noticed Dream and opened his mouth to speak. "What happened, Dream? Why am I in a hospital?" George didn't know if he was bitten or not and he was scared to find out. "What do you remember?" George sighed. "I remember falling and being cut by my machete. Then, I pulled it out and tons of those things surrounded me, and then my vision went black." Dream looked up at George, a saddened look glazed upon his face. "Then, we turned around and I saw you on the ground, not moving. I was able to pick you up and bring you inside. Luckily, I helped slow the bleeding but you still didn't wake up. So we took you to a hospital in hopes of finding medical supplies or doctors."

George adjusted himself to lay on his side facing Dream. "You risked everything. Why would you do that?" George's tone frightened Dream. He had never seen George so furious. "Because I love you, George. I'm sorry." George's face softened a little. "I love you too but-" Dream interrupted George. "No, George. You don't. You don't love me like I love you." Dream sat up and looked away. Did I really just say that? Fuck. Dream didn't know what to do. He had just told his best friend his feelings, well not completely but it wouldn't take a genius to figure it out. After all, Annie already knew and she hadn't even seen them interact yet. George took a deep breath, not knowing what to say. He loved Dream and wanted him to be more than just a friend, but was that what he was trying to say?

"What does that mean, Dream?" Dream scoffed. "It means I like you more than a friend! Ok?" Dream started to get up and leave the room, not wanting to face George, when a hand grabbed his chin. George pulled Dream down to him, pushing their lips together. Dream pulled back and smiled. "I didn't think that-" He was interrupted by George grabbing his collar, kissing him again. "Oh my god." Sapnap had woken up and walked into his two best friends kissing. "I told you he liked you, Dream. George face turned as red as a tomato. Sapnap smiled at the two. "I'm happy for you guys. It was honestly so miserable seeing you two flirt. You guys obviously liked each other."

George finished writing the note. He slipped it in a wooden box and took out a sharpie. On the box, he wrote, "open when I die".  Dream walked into the room and George quickly hid the box behind his back. "Hey, come here. I have a surprise," Dream whispered, George, following behind with a grin. Dream took them to the living room where he pulled out a shiny object from his pocket. George couldn't tell what it was but he was excited. "Close your eyes." George did as he was told and Dream put the necklace around his boyfriend's neck. "Open." George looked down at the shiny, gold object dangling from his neck. "Oh my god. I love it." George jumped at Dream, giving him a big hug and peppering him with kisses. "Why are you so good to me?" Dream smiled. "Because I love you." George kissed Dream. "I love you more," George demanded.

Sapnap walked into the room, immediately taking notice of George's necklace. "Oh cool, where did you get that?" George grabbed his necklace, showing it off. "Dream got it for me." Sapnap smiled. "You guys really are in love." George's smile faded. "Hey, Sapnap. I need to talk to you for a minute." Sapnap raised an eyebrow but nodded anyway. Dream trusted George, so he didn't have any suspicion. George led Sapnap into Dream's office, where the box was. He grabbed it and handed it to Sapnap. "Don't tell Dream about this. I-if I die before him, please give this to him. Also, don't open it and hide it." Sapnap nodded, as a saddened look warped his face. "Thanks, Sap."

Dream ran his fingers through George's hair. He was asleep and Dream had taken this time to appreciate George's beauty. He loved him. He had never experienced feelings like this for anyone. George's eyes fluttered open. "Morning, sleepyhead." George yawned as he smiled at Dream. He had been waiting for him to wake up so he could kiss him. As soon as he got the chance, Dream kissed his boyfriend. George pulled back, resulting in Dream's confusion. "What's wrong?" George's looked as if he was uncomfortable.

"N-nothing. Sorry." George turned away from Dream and stumbled out of bed. Weird, Dream thought. He didn't think anything was wrong though. Maybe he was just tired. After a few seconds, Dream got up to follow George into the kitchen. Sapnap was there, he had cooked breakfast. As Dream went to sit down he put his hand on George's shoulder. George flinched, moving his shoulder back. His body language crushed Dream. George always liked Dream's affection, why was today any different?

The entire day George acted as if something was bothering him. "George." He responded with a nod, looking over at Dream. "I need to talk to you, George." George rubbed his shoulder in discomfort as he walked past Dream to the bedroom with his head down, not ready to talk. Dream followed, noticing his odd behavior. He shut the door behind them.

"You have been acting really weird today, George." Dream paused as he sat beside George. "Are you okay?" George's eyes watered and he opened his mouth to speak. "I-I just, I'm scared." Dream adjusted himself to be closer to his boyfriend. "Of what? I'm not going to let anything happen to you. I promise." George looked at Dream, tears in his eyes. This time his behavior was familiar. Their movements happened all at once. Dream's hands slid up his boyfriend's face to cup his cheeks as he closed the gap between them, pressing their soft lips together. Dream had missed this. He wasn't able to keep his lips away from George for an entire day, it was impossible.

George lied back slowly on the bed as Dream moved on top of him. He grabbed his hands, pinning George on the bed as he pulled back. "I love you so much, you have no idea." George loosened one of his hands from Dream's grip, pulling his collar down to kiss him. "I think I have some idea." They lied there making out for hours, but to them, it seemed like only a few seconds.

Dream started to pull off George's shirt when he paused. "Can I?" George smiled. "Please." Dream continued and pulled off his own shirt. He made his way down George's neck, kissing him in every place possible. "I don't want to do anything more than this. I don't know if I'm ready," George admitted as he looked away, feeling guilty. "I'm glad you told me. I don't ever want to make you feel uncomfortable, George. I don't want you just for sex. I love you, don't ever feel bad about not being ready." Dream moved into George's line of view, George focusing his eyes on the dirty blonde. Dream started to get up off of George when he pulled him back down. "I never said I wanted to stop."
