Alec told me that someone named Hodge wanted to talk to me in the library and showed me where it was. The Library was huge, and my inner bookworm was Fan-girling over it." Amazing isnt it" I jumped and turned to see a thin man with graying hair and a beaky nose." You must be Marissa, but I hear you like to be called' Rissa' " I nodded.

" I'm Hodge Starkweather" he shook my hand as Alec sat in a huge red arm chair. " I hear you can do something special" I nodded.

" could you show me, if you don't mind"

" not at all" I smiled before teleporting to the top of a staircase near the bookshelves." amazing, truly amazing, how long have you been able to teleport"

" since I was 2, but Clary doesnt know, so please don't tell her " I noticed the raven on his shoulder and teleported back only to trip on my two left feet, somehow ending up on Alec's lap. " sorry, Alec, don't have complete control of it"

" I'm OK" he said as I got up. The raven flew off of Hodges shoulder and landed on the table in front of me." What a pretty raven" I mumbled and Hodge smiled" his name is Hugo" he told me as I petted the bird.

" did your mother tell you why she wanted you to get your sister" I shook my head" she was about to but her voice was blocked out by something breaking" he went over and sat at his desk, the raven flew over and landed on his shoulder. The door opened and we looked up to see Jace and Clary, Alec sent her a glare and I rolled my eyes at her expression, one thing that was the same about us, we were both Bookworms but she was more of a social butterfly then me, like I said, I'm an observer.

I walked over looking at the books on the shelf as they talked. I noticed my hand starting to disappear and mumbled" not again" I shook it making it reappear before anyone noticed other then Hugo. I heard Clary yell" I'm not a little kid, me and Mari-" she was cut off as I sent her glare and she quickly corrected herself" me and Riss are 16 or least on Sunday we will be"

" actually, Clary" I called smiling" you always forget, I was born at 12:00 so my birthday is Monday"

" I'm trying to prove a point here" she snapped and I rolled my eyes as she continued to argue with Alec. Somehow the argument started going toward our dad." What about your father"

Clary glanced at me " he died before we were born" before I could stop it I was I up above on one the bookshelves." How did you that, Rissa"

" ignore it, I'll tell you later" I mumbled as I fought to keep myself in one place but failed as I appeared next to Alec." Had to be teleportation" I mumbled as I appeared next to Jace, who jumped causing Hodge to chuckle. "And Clary he didn't die, he left us"

" what are you talking about"

" you really don't remember do you" I snapped she gave me a confused look and I sighed" you'll get it when you remember" I mumbled before walking out of the room. I stopped and closed my eyes" calm Rissa" I said to myself" calm and you'll stay in one place" I started walking only to stop when I heard my sister crying. I couldn't take it I went back to the library to find her sitting on the couch. She looked up and I sat next to her taking her hand.

" Luke said he won't help us, I thought we could trust him, like mom said"

" we can Clary just not right now" I hugged her as Hodge pulled a chair up and asked if we wanted any tea. We shook our heads and he asked if we could tell him what happened." My mom called me first, told me to get Clary" I started and Clary told him what happened when she got to the apartment which made me remember" there was something weird about it, the apartment, my room was the only one untouched but someone had moved my books off the desk chair in the corner and sat in it."

" that is strange, anything else" he asked Clary" according to Jace you said the demon spoke"

" more like hissed, it said it wanted to eat me but it couldnt" Hodge asked if it had mentioned a master and Clary answered" it mentioned something a Valentine " Hodge seemed to jump at the mention of the name." I'm just going to see if there's anything to salvage from the apartment" I said before teleporting.
