3rd Person POV

"Last night, the Seoul police department's investigation task force successfully launched a sting operation on a notorious mafia in the area," A female voice said through the television. "Mafia boss Soo-ah and around twenty mafia members were apprehended and arrested. The task force believes that catching part of this mafia was merely a stepping stone to catching two more threats in Seoul."

"There's a possibility that assassins Lee Know and Hyun Woo got involved with the mafia. If so, the information we gain from the sting operation can lead us right to them and put the assassinations to a stop," A police officer with blond hair said. A small banner appeared under him reading: Bang Chan, leader of the Seoul investigation task force.

The television shut off, silencing his voice. They had gone undetected for so long, there was no way they would get caught now.

Jisung POV

I had been released from the hospital the day after the second questioning. The marks on my wrist where the rope had cut into them were almost fully healed. Minho was going to be in the hospital for another two to three weeks. I visited him whenever I had the chance, and if I missed visiting hours because I worked too late, he would always call me asking where I had been.

Talking to Minho gave me an odd fluttering sensation in my stomach. Just talking to him immediately put me at ease no matter what the situation was. With him, I felt like I could be myself, which I could only do with a few select people. I couldn't wait until he recovered and this whole situation was over. Then, life could go back to normal.

Minho had been released from the hospital yesterday and was resting at home. Hyunjin called me early this morning explaining that he needed to go to work and asked if I could stay with Minho in case anything happened. Of course, I accepted.

I knocked on the door to Minho's apartment and waited patiently for him to open it. The door opened and Minho immediately moved to the side to let me in.

"You have a nice apartment," I pointed out, observing the cabinets lined with pottery that looked extremely expensive. I wonder what kind of job he or Hyunjin had that they made enough money to afford pottery like that.

"You would too if you could actually see through all that crap," Minho said, sitting down on the couch.

"Don't drag my apartment into this," I whined. "Just accept the compliment."

"Hyunjins the one who decorated it so you should tell him later," Minho said coolly. I sat next to Minho and moved to turn on the television. He quickly grabbed my hand and pulled the remote from it.

"All that they're talking about is Soo-ah and the sting operation. It's driving me insane," Minho complained, setting the remote back down on the table. I thought that Minho would have been happier that Soo-ah had been caught especially since he had been directly involved but it made sense that he wouldn't want to hear about it anymore.

My eyes drifted to the sling that Minho's left arm was in. "How much longer do you have to wear that for?" I asked.

"Another week," He replied, irritated. "Help me take it off. I can't stand it anymore."

"Minho hyung, you need to keep wearing it," I said sternly. He glared at me for a moment before sighing and accepting defeat.

"Well...feel free to look around more," Minho said. "Try not to break anything."

I took advantage of the offer, standing up and glancing over at him just in case he had changed his mind. Once I stood up, he laid down on the couch, his right hand behind his head.

"Go on."

"I feel like you're just saying I can do this so you can have the couch to yourself," I laughed.

"That's partially it," Minho admitted. "Also, help yourself to anything in the refrigerator that doesn't have Hyunjin's name on it."

"Hell yeah," I said, though I knew I probably wasn't going to take advantage of the offer.

His apartment had a loft which led to a small workspace. There were two desks on either side of the loft, each marked with the occupant's name. Minho had a few cat pictures on his monitor as well as a small picture of himself. I resisted the urge to laugh at his ridiculous setup, though Hyunjin's wasn't much better. His desk wasn't decorated unless the binders and papers that lay littered all over the surface counted.

I walked down from the loft back into the living room, peering over the top of the couch to see how Minho was doing. His eyes were closed, his chest slowly rising and falling with each breath. A small smile formed on my face as I walked by slowly so as to not wake him. Beyond the living room was just the living room and what I assumed were Minho and Hyunjin's bedrooms. Both of the doors were closed and I knew I shouldn't be invading their privacy, but my curiosity over what Minho's room looked like got the best of me.

The first room had a small cartoonish ferret in the center of the door. To be honest, it was adorable but it was most likely Hyunjin's room. I walked by to the room near the end of the hallway and slowly walked inside. The door creaked loudly as I opened it, so I squeezed inside to avoid making any more noise.

Despite it almost being noontime, the shades in his room were still closed so the room was dimly lit. I was disappointed that there wasn't much to see in his room but I didn't know what I was expecting in the first place. There was a door by the side of his bed that had been left slightly ajar. A dim light came from the inside of what I assumed was his closet. Curious, I walked inside.

The room was lit by fluorescent strip lights which hummed softly adding to the already eerie look of the room. Cracked white tile covered the floor. One long table was placed in the center of the room, two desks were separated by white dividers. A giant whiteboard filled with pictures sat behind one of the desks. From where I was, I couldn't make out what the pictures were, but some pictures had an x drawn across them. The worst part of the room was the rusted fencing across the walls protecting shelves with just about any gun imaginable. Strip lights were placed at the top of the display and shone down on the shelves.

I looked around in disbelief, unable to take in everything that I was seeing. How could this be possible? Minho seemed like such a kind person. One of the computer monitors on the desk was left on and I walked up to it. A private messenger was open. I leaned over the desk chair and began scrolling through the chat history. A wave of nausea came over me when I saw a picture of myself tied to a chair in the middle of a hospital room blindfolded. I read through the message history when I came across a message that stopped me in my tracks.

Unknown: Looks like Lee Know does have a heart. He's coming to save Jisung.

Minho and Lee Know were the same person. Minho...or should I say Lee Know... had tried to murder me and saved me the same day.

"What are you doing in here?" Minho's voice said from the doorway.

"Explain to me what the hell all of this is!" I screamed, tears streaming down my face.

"Calm down and I'll tell you everything," He replied, his voice wavering slightly.

"How can I calm down?! You tried to kill me and have the nerve to pretend to be my friend!"

"Jisung, I wasn't pretending," He said softly.

"Okay, Lee Know. Soo-ah told you to kill me and I have a huge price tag on my head. How come you couldn't do it huh? You only care about the money and not the lives you are affecting!" I cried, grabbing Minho by the front of his shirt.

"Jisung..."

"What's stopping me from calling the police on you right now?" I said, suddenly feeling very calm.

"Call the police then. It was about time they caught me anyway."
