Ronnie walked down the village pathway, Karma's shirt and vest on her arm. She walked until she reached a big cottage. It was two story, and it was nicely cleaned on the outside. She walked around the house towards the back door. She pushed it open, walking inside the house. She closed it tightly behind her, making sure it closed all the way. She walked into the kitchen, setting the clothes on the counter. She heard something behind her, which made her turn her head. It was a small grey tabby cat, it's tail swaying in the air. She smiled, stroking its back. It was a friendly cat, and it's eyes were bright. A collar jingled on its neck. She looked closely at the tag, which read "Tobias". She smiled, looking back up to the cat.
"Tobias," she said. It meowed, rubbing its head off of her hand. She chuckled, scratching its ear. She looked over, noticing a pile of photographs on the counter. There were dozens of them scattered about, but one of them caught her eye. It showed Karma standing next to Mercy who was sitting in a chair. They were both smiling. Ronnie found strangeness in seeing Karma smile, since she didn't see it that often. She fixed her vision on another picture next to it. It was of Karma. He was a close up of him, showing him from his shoulders and up. At the bottom of the picture read "Capt. Karma Alekhin". He wasn't smiling in the picture, but his face was serious. His eyes were a little wider than usual, and he looked very innocent. She skimmed over the rest of the pictures lied out. They were mainly of Mercy, Karma, and Mercy's kids. She never saw Karma like this in her life. He looked so happy, wearing a bright smile in almost every picture of him. He usually didn't smile, but when he did he had a big and bright one. His teeth were very white, and his eyes seemed to smile along with his mouth. She noticed a picture that seemed very old. It was of a kid with thick dark brown hair. His hair reached his chin, and then the ends sprouted outwards. The kid seemed angry, and was even holding a knife. The kid was yelling at something since his mouth was wide open and his eyes were fiery. She looked closer at the kid, recognizing the small scar of the bridge of their nose. She realized that Karma had the same scar, so she guessed the kid in the picture was Karma. She walked back over to Tobias and gave him a goodbye pet and strolled towards the back door. She opened it, closing it behind her.Captain Karma Alekhin: the best soldier Shippendale currently has. He uses his flexibility to his advantage, which none of the other captains seemed to have. Ronnie enjoyed watching him fight, how he did perfect handsprings and flips. He reminded her of a circus act, which was the same with everyone else since there was a rumor spread around that he was once part of a circus. Both Karma and Ronnie, knowing where Karma actually came from, let the rumor spread until people started to believe it was really true. It was way better than the truth.
Karma was a smaller man, being the smallest out of the captains. He was small, but he was also very mighty. He was very agile and swift with very quick reflexes. Ronnie felt it illegal to see him smile, since his face was only ever cold and emotionless. He had muscular legs, which were the only impressive part of his looks. Other than that, he had black hair which was cut in a messy bowl cut, golden eyes, tan skin, and three scars on his face in total. He had a small scar that was visible on the bridge of his nose. He never explained to Ronnie how exactly he got that scar, all she knew is that it was there ever since he was a child. The two other scars were under his eye, stretching to his jaw. One was shorter than the other, stopping about halfway down the side of his face. Ronnie had witnessed when he got those scars. It was when Faux turned into a Lurker in the forest. Karma had tried to go for Faux's eyes, thinking it was just a normal Lurker. Suddenly, Faux reached his claws up and gashed Karma in the face. Ronnie and the others managed to catch Karma as he fell from the sky. After that, he wore a bandage on the side of his face for about a week. Karma had a cute face, which made it a little amusing when he got angry. It wasn't how his lips promptly pressed together and his jaw clenched tightly, but it was how his face flushed.
Ronnie noticed that Karma blushed very easily, and for many different reasons. Such as a simple and small compliment, he'd blush like he'd never received one in his life. Ronnie tried to make people confident in themselves. She loved seeing people happy with themselves and who they've become, but as much as she's tried to make her captain like himself, she just can't do it. She knew he hated himself and who he is, but she always liked to let him know that there was someone that liked him for who he was, and that was Ronnie herself. Ronnie wanted everyone to be confident in who they were, no matter their body type or skin color. Ronnie herself was a skinny, tan woman with rich brown hair. She had forest green eyes and a bright smile. She just wished that everyone was like her: self-assured and happy.
