Killroy woke up the next morning and quickly sat up on his bed. He looked over to the bed beside him to see Keiko still soundly sleeping. He slid out of his bed and walked over to her's. He tapped her shoulder until she blinked her eyes open and looked over to him. She saw he had a strange smirk on his face.
"Today's the day," he whispered to her. She kicked her legs out of bed and stood up beside him. They quickly ran down the stairs after they got dressed. They met with Dana and Rhys in the Headquarters cafeteria. Dana was leaning back in his chair with a daring look on his face. Rhys was tiredly blinking his eyes as he leaned his elbows against the table. Killroy and Keiko sat down with them, their faces written with confidence. Dana looked up to them, his eyebrows tightening.
"Do you think they know," he lowly asked his cousin.
"How would they know," Killroy retorted.
"Karma's a sneaky boy," Dana shrugged.
"Yeah, well not as sneaky as us," Killroy said confidently. Dana said no more. He looked over to Rhys who looked like he was falling asleep.
"Rhys," he grumbled. Rhys looked up to him, as if he was suddenly awoken from something.
     "What," Rhys mumbled.
"Don't be fallin' asleep on us, now," Dana told him.
"I'm not," Rhys yawned. Dana nodded, looking back over to Killroy.
"We'd better start making our way over to Shippendale soon. It takes a long time to get there on foot," Dana said.
"You're right. Do you have everything you need?"
     "Mhm."
     "Alright, then let's get going."
Killroy, Keiko, Rhys, and Dana made their way out of the Trance City gates and into the forest that separated Shippendale and Trance City, swords clanking by their sides. The sunlight shining through the green leaves above made the ground look spotty with patches of warm summer sun.
Dana led the way, his long legs casting a shadow that the others swiftly fell behind. Killroy scratched at the back of his neck, also feeling droplets of sweat.
"Dana," Killroy called. Dana looked behind his shoulder, still striding through the weeds. "What is it between you and Karma?"
"It was just a simple disagreement that ended up making me untrustworthy in our family's eyes," Dana explained.
     "How?"
"Karma was always a fiery little boy. He always thought he was better than everyone else, so I showed him who's boss," Dana growled. "After he told his parents that I was beating him up, I was looked at as a disgrace."
     "That's not right," said Killroy.
"I know. Karma's the one who made my life so miserable, so I'm the one who is going to kill him," Dana said fiercely.
"As long as he's dead by the end of the day," Killroy said. Keiko looked over to them, her hands held together in front of her.
"Aren't you worried that he'll fight back," she asked Dana. Dana shook his head, his eyes focused on the woodland in front of him.
"Karma's nothing compared to me. Even if he'd fight back, it'd do him nothing," Dana replied deeply.
"When's the last time you saw him," she asked.
"Last time I saw him, he was about fourteen or fifteen," replied Dana.
     "What year was that?"
     "1864."
"So he's forty-one years old right now. Don't you think that maybe he grew stronger since he was a teenager?"
"There's no doubt he grew stronger, but he'll never be as strong as me. Wait till you see him, it's been twenty-eight years since I've last seen him but I can still picture his stubborn little face," Dana said. Keiko looked at Dana with concern. She was getting to know Dana's personality a little bit more, and she didn't find it appealing at all. He was confident and he didn't give up easily, which was a good thing in some cases. But, he also held grudges against people, and he'd do anything to make sure he gets back at them for it. Dana was determined and devoted, but he was stupid. He didn't think anything through, the only thing on his mind was his goal. Not how he'd achieve the goal, not the obstacles that might occur on the way to the goal, not anything that a man with a major goal would need to think about. He had a goal, and all he knew was he would complete it. She noticed the thin eyebrows and the deepened eyes must run in the Alekhin family. She looked at Rhys, Killroy, and Dana. You could tell they were related from their faces. Thin lips, narrow eyes, and a strong jawline. They were definitely part of the Alekhin family. They kept trekking through the forest, soon to come out on the other side and be met with the Shippendale tunnel.
