Kelly ran outside after Ashley knowing she shouldn't be driving.
"Ashley!!" Kelly was running to catch up to her. "Ashley wait!" Kelly reached her and grabbed her arm.
Ashley whipped around to face Kelly. "What do you want Kelly?!"
"At least stay the night. You shouldn't be driving."
Ashley folded her arms and glared at Kelly. "Why do you care Kelly?"
"Ashley come on don't do that." Kelly grabbed ahold of both her hands. "We have been best friends since we were kids. I still care about you."
"Can we just go to your car and talk like old times?"
Kelly gave her a little smile. "Sure." They headed to Kelly's car to sit and chat like old times.
Ashley grabbed Kelly in a quick hot and heavy kiss. Kelly moved Ashley back a little bit to break their kiss. "Ashley I love you but as friends." Ashley looked disappointed and followed Kelly inside the cabin.

Shelby woke up the next morning to the sun beaming into the cabin bedroom. She rolled over and rubbed her eyes trying to get awake. Once she got awake she swung her feet over the side of the bed so she could get up.
Shelby stood up and stretched her arms above her head. She then made her way out into the living room. Kelly was laying on the floor and Ashley was asleep on the couch. Shelby rolled her eyes. She wasn't surprised at all.
Shelby found the bathroom and closed the door. After she finished in the bathroom she went back out into the living room. Kelly and Ashley were awake now and sitting on the couch.
"Morning."
"Morning." Kelly sounded like he was still sleepy and didn't want to be awake.
"Well thanks for letting me stay Kelly but I should probably go." Shelby grabbed her keys and jacket and made her way to her car. Leaving the cabin before anyone could say a word. She wanted to avoid the awkwardness.
Shelby was unlocking her car when she heard her name.
"Shelby wait!"
Shelby turned around to see a shirtless Kelly jogging over to her. "Yeah Kelly?"
"I can explain."
Shelby held up her hand signaling him to stop. "Kelly there's nothing for you to explain. We are not a thing. I'm just the new girl and I'll be gone by the end of the school year. So it's fine. I'm not looking for a boyfriend."
Shelby climbed into her car and started driving home. She glanced in her rearview mirror to see Kelly was watching her drive away. She had been down this road before and it only ends in heartbreak.
She pulled into her driveway and parked her car and made her way inside the house. Her parents were sitting in the living room watching the news.
"Morning mom. Morning dad."
"Morning sweetheart. Did you have a good time?"
"Yes I did. It was nice to make some friends."
"That's wonderful we are happy for you." Shelby started to head upstairs but then her mother spoke again. "Sweetheart come sit down. Your father has something to tell you."
"Okay." Shelby climbed down the few steps she had climbed and went and sat in the living room with her parents. Her mom turned off the tv. "This must be serious if your turning the news off."
