McKenzie's POV:
There. That's maybe the last one.
I hope so.
I helped the last and injured person into the back of an ambulance and I sighed a sigh of relief.
The building that the helicopters crashed into was weirdly still standing and the helicopters were still stuck in the side of the building. Plenty of people had already died from falling off and from the crash, and I had already felt guilty enough for not noticing earlier.
Am then swings over to my side as he looked like he had also finished helping people out and into the ambulances.
I could tell by the way he looked at me through the eyes of his mask that he wanted something, or he needed to say something.
I already knew that he wanted to talk about what happened back at the house, but it was not necessary for right this moment.
Neither did I want to talk about it either.
"Ken-" He looks around to make sure no one was around before he says it. "Listen, I'm really sorry-"
"Am!" I say, trying not to show how frustrated I was, but was clearly failing. "I really need you to focus on the point of people dying and how dangerous it even is to stand on this ground right now. As I said, we will talk about this later. As in when we are not in suits and we are somewhere where nobody will hear." I say, looking at him with narrow eyes.
The eyes of Amadeus's suit widen, and he looks down at the ground, knowing basically I was telling him to focus on the situation at hand and shut up.
Amadeus's POV:
Wow. I had never seen Ken steam like that.
I guess I was kind of being a dick not focusing and not noticing that some people were dead, dying, critically injured, and some needing mental help for what they just saw happen.
Don't even ask how I know that.
McKenzie then looked at me again when I raised my head from looking at the ground.
"I'm going to go check what's going on up there, this crash isn't something regular..."
"Ken, it isn't safe up there." I protested as I looked at the eyes of her brown and black suit.
"I need to do this whether you like it or not," Ken says, looking up at the helicopters.
"Ken- I don't need you dying-"
"I'm not going to die."
"I don't need you hurt-"
"I've been hurt so many times, Am." Ken looked at me with a deadpan look.
"But what about-"
"Bye, Amadeus," Ken says as she shoots a web and I watch her swing off towards the helicopter-crashed building.
I rolled my eyes and I groaned.
Classic McKenzie. Always so stubborn.
Then, shortly after Ken was up there for a minute, I felt my Spider-Sense tingle, meaning something was up.
I then heard loud thuds and then I look behind me to see helicopter parts falling on the ground. Some police officers and people then were looking wide-eyed at what was falling from above.
"We need to get out of here and evacuate right now," A female police officer said to another officer with worry and anticipation in her voice.
"What do you mean-" I say and then I look above.
The helicopters were starting to tilt, and it was starting to take the whole buildings down with them.
I needed to get Ken out of there before she met her end.
McKenzie's POV:
As I swung up there, I got a closer look at the helicopters and saw how damaged they were. They were burning from fire and some of them were dented badly.
I looked at a helicopter and saw it was non-firey, so I swung up to it and then I entered inside.
It was a cramped space, but I squinted and coughed from the smoke in the atmosphere.
The helicopter slowly tilted and I tried to keep the balance so I wouldn't fall.
I looked over the driver and passenger seat of the helicopter and saw a guy with blood running from a gash in his chest. The gash was caused by the driving stick that looked like it was stabbed into him, and his face was pale and his eyes made him look like he was staring into outer space.
Weird. How would someone stab him on purpose? Looks like no one was in here.
I then looked at the driver's area, and the guy looked like he was fine, but he didn't look like he was alive.
His eyelids were closed and he was taking in deep but small breaths, and any person with bad vision would think he was dead.
I then shifted behind the seat to then open his eyelids, and I saw the weirdest thing.
His eyes were a swirling light of blue, purple, green, and red, making it seem like he was staring at some sort of color animation for over a year.
"Hello? Can you hear me?" I wave my hand in front of his face and all he does is keep staring into space like I never spoke.
So weird.
Then, there suddenly was a crash.
There was then a mysterious figure in a shining metal outfit and a violet hood.
After that, all I saw was then blurry vision as I coughed and then felt my lungs breathe in and out.
Then I felt tilting and then felt my grip let go.
Before I knew it, I felt the wind blowing behind me as I fell.
