McKenzie's POV:
My Mom looked at me, rubbing the sides of her cheekbones with a stressed and very confused look as she tried to place the pieces together. The wrinkles beside her eyes were getting bigger as she looked at me with her dark eyes.
"So, you mean to tell me this: You're Wolf-Spider?" She looked at me like she needed some sort of therapy.
Telling Mom all of this at once was not something I was planning to do. Keeping a secret identity was so hard for something that was crazily easy to do. All you have to do is not tell anybody, and bam. Secret identity.
This is why I was kinda hating Amadeus right now for just choosing to arrive in the middle of my life, which he should have come in my life and stayed seven years ago.
The dude has pretty bad timing.
Especially showing up in an iron suit that looks like Spider-Man's.
I slightly nod as I keep my hand palmed to my face.
Mom looked like she was about to blow with frustration.
"And who is he? Let me guess, he's some random spider from another universe like you said." Mom said, running a hair through her thick dark brown hair in stress.
Amadeus was sitting on the arm of the couch, his mask retracted from his face, and he's looking like he was stressing too.
"No Mom, remember Amadeus from second grade?" I say, pointing at him with a hand to my chest showing how much I was serious.
Mom rubbed her temples and she looked at me with a face of recognition as her glance wavered over to Amadeus.
"How do I know you're not some sort of stranger?" Mom squinted her eyes at Amadeus and she looked at him suspiciously.
I turned my head to look over my shoulder, and Am had looked up from twiddling his thumbs.
"Well, I do remember when I and McKenzie were kids, the last time we saw each other was about seven years ago, about June 7th," Amadeus says like he was a human-computer. My eyes bulged out like I just saw someone get murdered.
How does he know that?
My gaze flickered from Amadeus to my Mom who's a look of stress was taken over by a look of shock, showing how surprised she was.
"H-How do you know all of that?" She says, her voice cracking with confusion.
Amadeus shrugged.
"I have a photographic memory. Being the seventh smartest being on Earth- Well, not this earth, but you get what I mean." Amadeus sort of bragged as I sensed he was looking at me.
That makes sense. But why the hell would the seventh smartest person on Earth even bother to come on this Earth?
I then realized that he was thinking about something by the look on his face, so I concentrated and then read his mind.
All I had to do was focus my power on his mind and what he was doing here, and the flashbacks of a person named Peter in his dimension, chasing him into a janitor, spilling water, and messing up his hopper.
Oh, that little motherfucker.
He stole a suit and then has the guts to teleport here?
Why?
If anything, he just made me hate him even more than I did. Getting me in trouble, and now exposing my secret.
He just fucked up everything.
