Amadeus's POV:

Well, I wasn't expecting all of this to happen at once. I felt guilty the instant that McKenzie shot a furious glare at me with her eye, the other completely concealed by the eyepatch she wore.

Who knew, today I ran away from Peter, landed in this universe, met my long-lost best friend, and now she's totally pissed at me for ruining her identity because clearly, her Mom didn't know until now.

Then, I felt something weird going on in my head as McKenzie's mom kept talking to her. It was some sort of feeling that the flashbacks from running from Peter and then teleported here.

Just being here and then telling McKenzie and her mother I was the seventh smartest person in the universe, was maybe the dumbest idea ever since I stole Peter's Suit.

Well, he has his own suit, doesn't he?

Then, McKenzie's mother looks at me with her dark and confused eyes.

"You're actually the kid who hung out with McKenzie seven years ago? How did you become from the kid who was missing a front tooth to a guy in an iron suit?" She says.

I slowly nod. "I have powers like Spider-Man," I said, meeting her eyes.

McKenzie's mom's gaze wanders off mine, and her eyes squint as if she was staring at something bright. She then looks at me again.

"So tell me this. McKenzie," She says, locking eyes with McKenzie, who was sitting at the edge of a chair. She looks up meeting her mother's look.

"Yeah, Mom?"

"You have powers similar to Amadeus here?" She nods her head gesturing to me. McKenzie slowly nods.

"Every spider is different, Mom. I have speed and I can read minds. I'm a telepath and I don't know what Amadeus's is." McKenzie says as she glances at me for a moment and then back to her mother.

Her mother nods.

Then, there are footsteps coming down the stairs, and a young boy with dark brown hair and eyes came down with a sort of Iron Man figurine in his hand.

"Mommy, I found Iron Man-" When his eyes land off his mother and then land on me he gasps in awe, drops his figurine, and he races over to me and sits beside me giddily.

"IRON SPIDER?!" He screams at the top of his lungs and then he traces his small finger alongside my armor.

"Nick, calm down," McKenzie tries to calm him down but instead gets him more energetic.

"There's a spider in our house?! NO WAY!" The boy who was obviously named Nick squeals and then tries to hop on my back.

I slightly laugh as I let him on.

This kid is cute.

I look over and see McKenzie's face holding back a smile. I was guessing she has changed a lot, from being quirky and energetic to being like one of those kids in some 1990's comedy you would see in goth makeup and moping around.

Not that she was like that, but she has changed.

"Can you swing?" Nick excitedly said as he squirmed around on my back.

Before I could say anything back, I felt his weight off my back and I turned around to see him in his mother's arms.

"No swinging," His mother said as she planted a kiss on Nick's forehead.

"Okay," Nick said sounding disappointed as his mother let him down and the boy raced back upstairs without another look at me.
