The Ones: Ashes to Ashes

Ch.9 Rebellion

Word of the Maglino's assault at the Equestria Asylum soon spread all over Equestria. Many ponies were shocked to hear this. They couldn't believe that Green Blitz would do something like that. It was so unusual of him. Others were pleased. They believed that now that the thugs are gone there could be peace. Though, they did feel pity for the guards that were murdered. Everypony who are loyal to Green Blitz didn't say anything negative about this. They said things like he did a good job on doing so and such. But the Sacré knew that this is just the beginning. Starberry was not surprised. She argued with Green Blitz. "I can't believe you." she said. "You killed everypony in that island. And you allowed that satanic psycho free and let her join the Maglino."

"Everypony in that island are criminals." said Green Blitz. "They're nothing else but enemies to the public and Equestria."

"But not the guards. They served Equestria well. They fought against the evil."

"They attacked us."

"They did because you wanted to kill the thugs. They knew that was wrong, so they tried to stop you."

"They defended those psychotic freaks. It would not be tolerated."

"Did you even stop to think that those criminals and guards had families who loved them? Had children who hoped to see them again? Had husband or wives that hoped the best for them?"

"Well boohoo. Their families will not miss them, neither will the world. So why would you care?"

"Because we are still The Ones. We fight for what is right not wrong."

"But it's our duty to eliminate all criminals from this world."

"Says who?"

"Says me."

"Since when?"

"Since the moment I killed Princess Celestia and your damn boyfriend."

Starberry looked at him for a few seconds. She then shook her head and left. A few weeks went by. The Maglino kept on gaining control. More laws were established. Now civilians are not allowed to leave the city or town they're in. They are trap inside their own homes. They no longer had the freedom of speech. The government now took control of all the products in Equestria. Many ponies were angry. Some claimed that they should have their freedom back. They were executed soon. The ponies who broke the laws were brutally punished in public. Some were even killed. Green Blitz set up a number of prison camps. Most of these camps held political prisoners. This caused protests all over Equestria. Anypony who protested was immediately executed. This was getting ridiculous for the Sacré. "Green Blitz," said Starberry to Green Blitz one day, "you must stop your own government. Its getting out of hand."

"We're establishing order."

"Order of what?"

"For their protection."

"You call this protection? Taking freedom away, killing innocents, and punishing them like some sort of animal? That's protection?"

"I'm doing this because I want Equestria to be a better place."

"Well you're not making any better. Princess Celestia would never want this to happen."

"Princess Celestia is dead because of me. I don't want it to happen again. That's why I'm doing this."

"You're turning yourself into a criminal. Look at what you're doing. They don't like it. They want you to stop. And if you don't stop this, then I will."

"Is that a threat?"

"If you're thinking it that way then yes it is."

"Arrest her!"

Some guards quickly surrounded her. One tried to punch her. Starberry blocked it and she punched the guard. She then attacked another guard, kicking him in the chest. Another guard grabbed Starberry by the back. She hold her still while the other guards starting hitting her. Alli showed up and kicked the guard who was holding her. Nocturnal Moon and Black Heart joined in the fight. They helped out Starberry and Alli. They all fought the guards who tried to arrest them. But there was too many guards. Then the rest of the Sacré showed up to help. They fought off the guards, but they just kept on coming. "They're too many of them." Said Starberry. "We must retreat, now."

Starberry quickly punched the pony who she was fighting in the eyes. Once he covered his eyes, Starberry ran away. The Sacré soon followed. "Don't let them get away." ordered Green Blitz. The Maglino ran after them.

"Alli," said Starberry, "do have any flash bombs with you?"

"In matter in fact, I do." answered Alli.

"Then use it so we can escape."

Alli reached for the flash bombs. She threw some to the ground. The bombs soon exploded. But instead of explosion, there was a flash of bright light that blinded the guards. After the guards were able to see again, they noticed that the Sacré escaped. Green Blitz got mad. "You idiots let them escape." he said. "Knowing Alli, she'll convince Equestria to rebel against us. We must find them before they do. If we're too late and there is any sign of rebellion, then eliminate the threat. Understood?"

"Yes, sir." said the Maglino.

"Good. Now good search for them."

They left the castle and onto Conterlot in search of the Sacré. But little did the Sacré and the Maglino know that one of the bloodiest war that Equestria will ever witness is just up ahead.
