"What have I done." said Green Blitz once he snapped out of the spell.
In front of him was the dead body of Princess Celestia. "I killed her. Oh why? Why? Why! Why was I so stupid. I let myself fall for Fianco's trap. And now I killed Celestia. I am so sorry."
Green Blitz started to cry. Never in his life was he so humiliated. He stopped crying after a while. His anger grew. "Damn it." said Starberry, "we're too late."
The Ones arrived too late. They couldn't save the princess. "Leave him be." said Ariel Ace.
They went outside. Only Starberry, Alli and Lighting Runner stayed inside with him. Lighting went up to Green Blitz. "It's not your fault." he said.
"I let myself get controlled by Fianco." Said Green Blitz.
"No you didn't. None of us knew that he'll control you."
"It's my fault, Lighting. I thought that I would be able to defeat him. Instead he humiliated me and used me. I was his puppet."
"Green Blitz, he knew what he was doing. He knew that you would fight him by himself. So he tricked you."
"Shut up, Lighting."
"You can strike back. We will all go and defeat him."
"I said shut up!"
Green Blitz grabbed Lighting by the throat. He started choking him. Green Blitz charged up his magic. "Green Blitz, don't!" Shouted Alli.
It was too late. Green Blitz shot Lighting through the head, killing him. "Lighting!" Screamed Starberry.
Lighting's body laid motionless on the floor. Starberry ran up to his body. "You killed him." she said Green Blitz. "You didn't need to."
"I'm sorry." said Green Blitz. "I couldn't control myself."
He ran out of the castle and head towards Fianco. Ariel came inside. "Did something happened?" He asked.
"Go follow him." ordered Alli. "And take the team with you."
"Sure thing."
Starberry kneel down and closed her eyes. Tears started to come out. "I'm sorry, Starberry." said Alli. "If there was something I could've done to save him, I would've."
"I'll miss him." said Starberry.
"I'll miss him too. I'll let you be."
Alli left Starberry. This is the first time she cried for a loss of a loved one. She remembered the times they spended together. She'll miss the cheesy jokes, the clever puns and the great compliments. Starberry thought that she would never see the day that her beloved died. She always assumed that she would die before him. Mostly because she risked her life too many times. Lighting Runner was the first pony she knew from her team and the one she trusted the most. Now he's gone. He'll never be with her again. She remembered that passionate night they had together and the words he told her. "Star," she remembered Lighting saying that night, "I want you to remember that no matter what, even in death, I will never abandon you. I will always be in your side."
"I will remember, my love." she said. "And the day you die, I'll die with you."
This was months ago. And now it looked her life is over. "I'm sorry," said Starberry in tears, "I'm sorry that I couldn't save you. Its my fault. But I promise you that one day I'll avenge your death."
She kissed him in the forehead. Starberry get up and left the Royal Castle.
